Here's a place to tout your candidates' plans, accomplishments, talking points.
Just remember, Accentuate the Positive; Eliminate the negative!
Post a good speech by your candidate that outlines his/her plans; shows off their intellect or warmth. What other people have said about them and their character and abilities. In news print, blogs or video.

Remember we only have a few days left. Try to win over the opposition with your dialogue!

The American Promise

"This election has never been about me,it's about you"...Obama

Do you expect the same old politics of the past to produce different result's? I don't and that's why I support Obama. Is he the promised messiah? perhaps not but I believe America needs change and Obama may be the right man at the right time. For everything there is a season,a time for sadness,a time for joy,a time for war,a time for peace and last but not least...a time for hope!

Invest in our Next Generation Innovators and Job Creators:
Who's gonna pay for this?

Double Funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership
Who's gonna pay for this?

Invest In A Clean Energy Economy And Create 5 Million New Green Jobs
Who's gonna pay for this?

Create New Job Training Programs for Clean Technologies
Who's gonna pay for this?

Boost the Renewable Energy Sector and Create New Jobs
Who's gonna pay for this?

Fight for Fair Trade
Details??

Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement
Details??

Improve Transition Assistance
Who's gonna pay for this?

End Tax Breaks for Companies that Send Jobs Overseas
Good idea if your OK with eliminating jobs for people in 3rd wolrd countries that so desperately need them.

Reward Companies that Support American Workers
Who's gonna pay for this?

Enact a Windfall Profits Tax to Provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to American Families
Can you say "wealth redistribution"?

Provide $50 billion to Jumpstart the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing Their Jobs
Who's gonna pay for this?

Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families
Is this before or after he allows th3 2000 tax cuts to expire and all of our taxes to go UP?

Eliminate Income Taxes for Seniors Making Less than $50,000
Good idea.

Simplify Tax Filings for Middle Class Americans
For $40 I file my own using TurboTax and it's pretty straight-forward.

Provide Tax Relief for Small Businesses and Start Up Companies
How about tax relief for existing companies so that they can afford to hire more local employees instead of sending the jobs overseas. (didn't we already touch on this one??)

Create a National Network of Public-Private Business Incubators
Who's gonna pay for this?

Ensure Freedom to Unionize
Why? So that we can overpay even more people??

Fight Attacks on Workers' Right to Organize
Go ahead and organize, just keep the unions out of things and let the people handle things.

Protect Striking Workers
Why? If you fail to show up for work, you lose your job.

Raise the Minimum Wage
And make it even more difficult for Small Businesses and Start Up Companies to succeed???

Create a Credit Card Rating System to Improve Disclosure
Who's gonna pay for this?

Establish a Credit Card Bill of Rights to Protect Consumers
Let the buyer beware...

Cap Outlandish Interest Rates on Payday Loans and Improve Disclosure
Good idea.

Encourage Responsible Lending Institutions to Make Small Consumer Loans
Details?

Reform Bankruptcy Laws to Protect Families Facing a Medical Crisis
Good idea.

Protect Against Caregiver Discrimination
?????

Exclamation Re: Let's talk about the issues

This thread is intended for you to promote YOUR chosen candidate's ideas and issues.
Let's keep the critisism to other threads as much as possible.
The point here is not to get side tracked by negatives.
There's plenty of room to take an issue you see here and start a new thread of your own or add it to another one to discuss.
The news organizations are engaged in pointing out what they like to think are inneficiencies in McCain's and Obama's stances. We can tune in to hear that any time of the day or night.
You can use this thread any way you want to and I won't stop you. (except of course outside of guidelines of the forum in general).
I just hope it will be used for its intent which is to put forward messages and support of each of our chosen candidates.
