Obama challenges McCain to debate foreign policy with him

Quote:
WASHINGTON: US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama today defended his experience at foreign affairs, highlighting his term at the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and challenged Republican rival John McCain for a "substantive debate" on the issue.

"As somebody who's served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and passed legislation on issues like nuclear proliferation -- and somebody who selected Joe Biden as vice president, who is chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee -- I'm going to be happy to have a substantive debate with McCain about foreign policy," Obama told ABC News.

The Democratic nominee's comments came after the Grand Old Party wrapped up its Convention in Minnesota, where Obama's lack of foreign policy expertise and lack of executive experience were two of the most talked about themes.

Obama once again slammed his McCain for supporting the Bush administration's "big strategic blunder" in Iraq and accused him of trying to "snatch defeat from jaws of victory".

"The strange question is why John McCain insists on continuing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory," Senator Obama said.

Dismissing the McCain camp's focus on the 2007 troop surge in Iraq and how it had helped reduce violence, Obama said McCain's support to the misadventure was tantamount to giving a "blank check to George Bush".
The only thing more audacious than this is to just come out and accuse McCain of really being a poor hispanic man..

I KNOW!!!

I read the thread title and started laughing at the audacity!

But that ties in PERFECTLY to what his Muslim gaffe says about him. He has the nerve of a Riverboat gambler. Who else can actually go right up in your grille and accuse you of his own tendency?
