Post Noonan and Murphy on Palin

(EDIT: Link was corrected after saltwn pointed out my mix-up )

I remember somebody on here talking about how good they hoped Palin would be once she got on "talking points"...
And herein lies the problem with "talking points".
They are not the REAL REFLECTION of a candidate.

When you rely on "talking points", you get a president who sits around like a fool for several minutes after being told that his country is under attack.

McCain made a BAD choice. If you LISTEN to the guy, it is rather scary to consider that he could be president, cause he is so out of touch with reality.
Palin is one bad choice out of a STRING of bad choices.

Over and over again we see people bashing Obama.
You'll note that they do not PROMOTE their own candidate as much as they try to make the other guy appear less than their own.

There's a reason for their strategy...

In the last few years, McCain has virtually completely switched his ideology.
The man of several years past would NEVER be doing the things politically he is today.
You know it.
I know it.
The pundits know it, except they won't say it on camera cause they are working off their politically partisan "talking points".

I would have seriously considered voting for the McCain that was out there several years ago.
Today's McCain shouldn't be assumed to be solid, ESPECIALLY when he repeatedly demonstrates, in today's world, that he lacks good judgment.

Was this the video you were looking for? Although the one you posted says Noonan and Murphy " that's not what I saw when I played it.

So McCain lacks judgement because his VP has little experience?
In that case the entire democratic party lacks judgement for their presidential nomination.
The republicans aren't asking Gov. Palin to be the president, but rather to be the president's helpmate.
The democrats are asking a community organizer & state senator to be president.
That's right I left out US senator just as the left-wing attackers like to leave out governor as a job held by Palin.
Maybe if Obama had spent his first term as US senator doing the work of a senator rather than spending that time running for president he may have an accomplishment to run on. But he didn't & doesn't.

I was luke warm about McCain, but Sarah Palin got me to warm up to McCain. She is the future. I was hoping McCain would pick Palin or Jindal so we could get a look at the future instead of pushing out the same ol' same ol' rich old white guys the republicans usually give us.

I find it especially funny that people who would never take the words of Nonnan this much to heart now are compelled to use her words because you agree with her. What about when you don't? Are going to publish her words & praise them then?

I'm lost here...

Someone caught a couple of Republican pundits not approving (and questioning) the presidential nominee's pick for VP...

Ummm...has there ever been a time where that HASN'T happened?...

Did EVERY Clinton supporter approve of Al Gore?...Did EVERY Bush supporter approve of Dick Cheney?...Did EVERY Kerry supporter approve of John Edwards?...

And I don't think we need to get into the number of Democrats who were annoyed that Hillary was NOT the VP pick and Biden was chosen instead...

I don't see why this selection would be any different...

"McCain picked someone and not everyone is in 100% agreement with his selection!!!!!"...

I think McCain was expecting all this uproar on his controversial nomination, giving them extra publicity at a time when all focus was on Obama, and he's counting on Sarah Palin to turn the tables before the end and win over undecided voters - that she'll become more appealing with time. I didn't catch her speech, but I am sure she is an intelligent and charismatic orator. I'm sure the take on her will be quite different come November. It's a gamble, we'll see if it pays off.

At some point I might have considered voting for McCain, but I would never vote for him with this woman on the ticket. I voted for Hillary, but I doubt Palin with her ultra conservative views will be able to win over many Hillary supporters.

It points out the dishonesty from the right. Bot of those morons are trying to convince us to vote for someone they don't think is qualified. Again Party first country second.

Wow, that sounded exactly like the tone Bill used to describe the blowjob intern. The left had better watch out how they treat 'that woman' or she and McCain will surely open a big can of whoop-ass on their presumptive coronation ceremony.
