It was a good speech, but it wasn't directed at me...as I posted in the Poll forum, I find the influence of VP minimal at best...I don't get too far up over a speech and I don't get too far down over a speech...

But it IS fun to grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks and repercussions...

If she does get to be VP, I believe she can be president. Now, having said that, can you imagine her running against Hillary?

They whacked out a poll already...

Woman President: Clinton vs. Palin 52% to 41%

Quote:
Voters by a substantial majority think a woman is likely to be elected president of the United States in the next 10 years, and nearly half (48%) think Hillary Clinton is at least somewhat likely to be the one.

But not if men have their way. In a head-to-head match-up, they prefer Sarah Palin over Clinton 49% to 45% according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Women prefer the former first lady over Palin 57% to 35%.

Voters overall give Clinton the nod 52% to 41%.
WAYYYYYY too early to look deep...But also surprising for someone to get 41% that would've gotten less than 3% 2 weeks ago...

That may look good on paper, but when it comes to a debate, WOW!!!!!!

I think Palin can dress down Hillary.

It could have very well have happened this fall after the GOP convention if Obama would have or could have listened to the "will" of the people.

The Vice President is not selected by the will of the people. I get sick of that phrase. The will of the people only counts for one of the two spots on the ticket and thats the top spot. It looks like the people had a greater will to select Obama as opposed to Hillary. Fine. And now Hillary can wait for the next cycle.

I hope she keeps her Senator thing going and doesnt run again. I was disappointed at the way she ran her campaign. She's a nice lady. I'd like to see her retire from the senate someday in dignity having served the people of her state and chaired some important commitees. A fighter like Ted Kennedy. And years down the road she'll be looked upon as a pioneer and tenacious friend of the people as he is.
When she was as fresh a face as Palin, she could have wooed a generation. She's lost something and it shows in her face. I have a great amount of respect for her, and except for a few things, I think i am on her page politically. But Satan and his minions drug that couple through the fire and the mud, and in order to remain a family, I think her streangth was tapped and her light that was so shiny like a new penny when she was interviewed during Clinton's primary run, is dimmed.

Good for you.

Though you can imagine if Sarah would have debated Hillary. I can picture it already, like a women's wrestling match seen on black and white TV.

But we'll see how well Ms. Palin debates Joe Biden. I think that is one debate I would like to see. I don't think I would to see a debate between Obama and McCain.

The debate between the two VP candidates almost reminds me of the Dolly Parton movie, "Straight Talk", where she out-wits a psychologist on a talk show when a called asked for advice on something in her life. Kind of an opposite from a Dr. Laura program.

Don't ever say that again. A naked Hillary is an image that could turn off 3/4's of America's men.
