One Nation, Under a New Obama Salute

So, the agency came up with their own a symbol of hope and progress that also plays off Obama's name. "We thought, 'Let's try and start a movement where even while walking down the street, people would hold up the O and you would know that they were for Obama,' " says Husong. Much thought went into the relatively simple idea. "You interlace your hands in a circle, the interlacing being a symbol of different types of people coming together and the circle a symbol of unity," he says. Their design, unlike Fairey's, is free, and Husong is urging people to download it and print it on posters and T-shirts. "We want to see it everywhere, but more importantly we want this sign to take the world by storm."

At first, I thought "This must be a hoax"...

But indeed, it's true...

They want the new Obama hand gesture to be a display of a BIG ZERO...

From the "O" in Obama's new presidential seal, to the "O" on the Obama airplane tail, looks like Barack is really pushing that "O".

I turned the sign upside down and this is what you get. A prelude to being hosed maybe??

What hand sign is this one?? Illuminati maybe???

Here is a bit of info on handsigns, which are used extensively around the country.

And some people interpret these signs differently...

I found what seems to be hand signs that support Bush and McCain. Notice the "W" and the "M"?

This is the closest sign that I could find that even looks close to Obama's "O" hand sign. Notice the "O"??

I'll leave the OTHER suggestive Gay interpretation for someone else to mention. I'll just do one of them.

I think it is something the more fun loving and "in yo face" young GOP members might use when taunting Obama supporters.

It looks like a big A-hole to me.

Well this would be the most appropriate symbol for unity; wholeness and power. Te raised fist suggest black supremacy and the tightened fist held in front of body, between the waist and chest is sign for white supremacy in the south.(means we gottem by the balls)

A big zero is certainly appropriate; it succinctly represents both the contents of his brain and the real change he will implement if elected.

Since it's Obama, I'd go with an open and empty wallet for domestic policy, and a white flag for foreign policy...

Isn't that the problem with our politics today? The goal is taunting the opposition. As a substitute for actual debate. Thats what I have noticed from McCain's camp. I guess we are going to be as immature as ever when it comes to picking our leaders. And for all the same stupid reasons. Lapel pins to gang signs.
