My point was how stuff like this is portrayed...

One person does it and people vilify and mock...But when someone the media fawns over does things like this the same media closes it's eyes and pretends it never happened...

What "Playing with words" relevance do your quotes show?

1. "A direct bomb hit" on a mess hall means just that...a direct hit.
2. "Dive Bombers" are what they are called, whether they are carrying on bomb or more.

I do not understand the point you are trying to make.

The thread is about a supposed faux pas Obama made using the word bomb when talking about Pearl Harbor.
I cited historical sources that also use the word "bomb" referencing Pearl Harbor.
