Tell you what, Mikeyy, how about if you and I do a little bit of homework on this and get back to each other on what we find. Let's search for the answer to your question to me; only let's look no further than politicians, talk show hosts, commentators and editorialists. Forget about the little ole you and me types. Let's just see what we find in the voices that make up our media world.

What do ya say?

Okay, so I'll take the non-response as a no, which is good because I wouldn't know where to begin searching for the countless quotes I've heard on Meet The Press and other talk shows. Besides, as you know I'm just beginning a great big book called "John Adams" by David McCullough!

But just know that my comments were not aimed at you or anyone here personally. Rather, I was attacking an idea that has been stated over and over again by many in the media for the past few years.

By the way, how is it that we rushed to war with Iraq, given that it was Bill Clinton in 1998 who signed the Iraq Liberation Act (not the Pakistan Liberation Act....the Iraq Liberation Act), calling for regime change ~ the removal of Saddam Hussein? He simply did not act on it.

How many UN resolutions over a twelve year period were there for Pakistan? Seventeen? I'm not aware of them.

Bush's "rush" to war with Iraq included going before Congress and receiving approval and support....so much so in the House that the vote was 420-1. The Senate also approved and supported the decision. Show me the statements of those Senators and Congressmen who felt that instead of going to war with Iraq at that time we should have attacked Pakistan. I'd like to see their names as well as their statements.

Bush has stated from the beginning that we took the war there to keep it from being fought here.

Any honest study of the timeline of events that took place....votes as well as formal statements and otherwise, leading up to the war with Iraq reveals that Bush received approval and support from many people in Washington who soon after turned their backs on his decision (and while our soldiers were risking and sacrificing their lives on that decision).

You ask me what idea....it is this -- that we are fighting the wrong war and that we should be over there....or over there....or over there....but certainly not right here where we are.

How many U.N resolutions are against Israel? Lets not start the U.N. resolution thing. The right doesn't like the U.N. anyway unless it suits their purpose. Before 9-11 I don't remember anyone on the right pushing for war with Iraq. So now that they have been provided with talking points it was apparently the most pressing thing in the world pre 9-11. Talk about your Monday morning quarterbacking. None of the people on the right who are now talking about the threat Saddam hussien was were saying anything about the need to go to war with Iraq. In fact when Clinton went to war in yugoslavia the right was against it. I was watching snipers shooting kids. And all the kids were trying to do was get water from a well. Clinton did something about it. Despite comments from people like GWB who said about Clintons involvement in Yugoslavia. "The president owes the American people an exit strategy". Funny coming from him. Huh?
