Obama Suggests GOP Will Use Race to Scare Voters

Quote:
Barack Obama told a group of Florida donors Friday night that Republicans will try to make voters afraid of him, and suggested they would use his race to scare up votes for John McCain.

Apparently girding for a nasty general election fight, the Illinois senator has in recent days predicted that independent GOP groups are waiting in the wings to attack him, and said his presumptive GOP rival is already “fear-mongering” when it comes to foreign policy.

But his comments Friday night in Jacksonville, Fla., seemed to reflect elevated concerns that his campaign to be the first black president would run headlong into political race baiters.

“We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid,” Obama said at the fundraiser. “They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black? He’s got a feisty wife.”
Blatant racebaiting from a blatent racebaiter who was originally "appalled" at their previous Democratic racebaiter...

There is quite a difference between race baiting and merely repeating the attacks that have already been made. Even you know that.

Please....even Hillary and Bill played the race card...but nobody does it better than the Karl Rovian Republicans...he is clearly expecting it...it's already happened via Fox Noise...duh! But it ain't gonna work...folks are ready for change. Radical change. the change that even an "allegedly" inexperienced, tax and spend, dubious on foreign policy, liberal, possibly Muslim, sit down at the dinner table with enemies, "black", intelligent, charismatic, funny named candidate presents.

You tell me if this sounds like "attacks that have already been made" to you...

Sorry...That's future tense...

And a typical "victim card" move...

Now if Obama loses, instead of saying "My message didn't resonate with the electorate" or "The people didn't believe I had enough experience", he'll go with "Those bad people made me imperfect through lies."...

It's a failsafe...If he wins, it's his fault...If he loses, it's other people's fault...

They are going to. They have already committed to it. Don't be obtuse.

One thing's for sure. There is still racial prejudice in this country. And if anything can be used to attack a political opponent, it will be. Little spurts of attacks may be farmed out to emailers, bloggers and talk show hosts, but the race issue will be present along with anything else these two candidate's parties can dream up.

It's been clear since the Rev Wright travesty and then that Catholic priest mess that Obama is going to and has already run his campaign based on preemptive race baiting. He is going to play the race card every chance he gets because he can't trust "typical white people" to make valid choices free of racism.

Nice try...but no cigar. It's clear that Obama is going to play "Chicago-styled" politics....a no holds barred approach, because after all, winning the election is "everything". Don't think for one minute the Republicans aren't going to pull out all the stops (dirt, the kitchen sink, and the kit and kaboodle), to use against him. Why shouldn't he do the same?
He tried to campaign, downplaying "race"...but others would not have it.
Even Hillary joined the fray. Now, he's going to pre-empt. Bully, for him.
And you can keep that "typical white people" stuff to yourself...so many white folks are voting for him, on the merits, that it's not even funny.

That's a far cry different from his original take on how to campaign. Just one more example of how Obama is just your typical, hand wringing, run of the mill, dishonest politician.

Actually, McCain's been pretty clean with this election, even coming to Obama's defense when NC was running those ugly ads about him.

You mean others like Jeremiah Wright and Reverend Michael Pfleger? Would that be the kind of Chicago politics you were talking about?

I would keep that "typical white people stuff" to myself if it weren't such a huge part of what Obama is. Please, tell me what merits Obama has to offer to win my vote. Is it his integrity? I would think his broken promise to take public campaign financing is enough to rule that out. Is it his ability to unite the nation? I would think that his 20 year tenure at Wright's feet rules that out. Is it his voting record? Sure, when he actually voted, it might worth looking at. Is it his experience? We don't even need to approach that one.

So you tell me...what does Mr. Barack Hussein Obama have to offer?
