Like I said....my feelings about Obama are purely subjective, and admittedly so. You want me to list his qualifications so that you can subjectively pick them apart. What's missing is objectivity....which we all know, is what conservatives are deficient at. If it's not self-serving, then it's rejected, out of hand. My argument was if someone as deficient, mentally-challenged, and morally corrupt as George Bush, and even moreso, Dick Cheney, could be elected president and VP, then Barack Obama must be perceived as a welcomed "breath of fresh air", in comparison. Either you cannot stomach the idea that a "black man", well-equipped for the job of POTUS, is nigh at hand, or that the veil has been lifted off of the stark rape of the American People, by conservatives and Republicans, and those that would use the Constitution of the US for toilet paper, if they could...and the proverbial "jig is up". It's a new day...and a long time coming. White privilege is a thing of the past...no more will we have to endure those who feel that they own the world, and are entitled to be in control of every damn thing. Just as there are Jews who are opposed to the policies of Israel and desire peace, cooperation, and equity with the Palestinians, likewise, there are many whites who are tired of the injustices against persons of color, and desire unity, cooperation, and respect with persons, regardless of skin color or background, and can actually envision a Obama presidency, and welcome it. The divisiveness, racism, and inequity of the past, will soon be just that...."in the past", albeit, to the chagrin of far too many. |

And ol' racist George Allen, who, surprisingly has retreated to the rathole he came from, out of sight...out of mind....never to be heard from again. Thankfully. I'm so glad I was able to change your opinion of me...not that that matters, in the least. A "standard, run-of-the-mill liberal"???? I'm not standard, run of the mill "anything". Never have been...so that would have been a wrong assumption, on your part. Who said that I was unwilling to acknowledge any shortcoming in Obama...he is human. All humans are fallible. He has admitted so, himself. Then you add insult to injury by asserting that I am nothing more than a " fringe-dwelling, racist liberals who is driven by hatred and self-inflicted victimhood." My many Caucasian friends would laugh in your face at the mention of me being a racist, or "fringe-dwelling". You did get the liberal part correct, however. Hatred. Perhaps, for injustice, which, as a liberal, I abhor. Contempt, for Republicanism, Congress and conservative thought. Hatred, I would reserve for this present administration...I'm not generally a hateful person...it's a waste of energy, and does you more harm than anyone...weren't you taught that? Victimhood? Uh-uh. When I turned 40, I changed from being mediator, and milquetoast-y, to activism and politically driven. I don't take peoples' BS anymore. Which includes you and your cohorts. We all have our own opinions, which are as perennial as assholes, and don't matter that much. Get over your imagined self-importance. I did. I'm not "a type". I'm atypical. Self-avowed. Intellectual. A writer. A musician. Multi-faceted. I can't be placed in a box. Many have tried to their own chagrin. You don't know me. Don't pretend to. You have a question. Ask. Comprehension is on you. Next. |

"Can't be placed in a box" ![]() You are 100% "in a box". You live in a predetermined world where you are the victim of people you've never met. You reek of racism, even stooping to the old "I've got lots of friends who are...." tactic. Instead of pursuing harmony among people, you perpetuate disharmony. You are very typical, I've seen your type demanding reparations for slavery, calling anyone a racist who has anything critical to say about any black person. You would allow your vote for POTUS to be influenced by a man's racial heritage. You are a lockstep, dyed-in-the-wool, fringe dwelling, race-baiting, racist, ignorant fool of a liberal. Your type is as common as pennies and only worth half as much...

You are a "relic of the past". You're going the way of the dodo...heck, you might even be a dodo. The only truth you spoke was that I am, indeed, a bona fide "liberal"...I think conservatism serves only the rich, and the powerful, and keeps them in power, while finding ways of excusing themselves from the taxation that the average American endures. Elitism at its' worst. You keep talking about me as if you know me....I assure you, you don't. And I don't know you...and am happy because of it. Move around. |
