Though I do think Romney is out of touch when it comes to ordinary Americans, his point is in reference to other countries and many have far fewer opportunities and far greater poverty and no safety net and it's a valid point. I'm sure, as with many valid points - it will be taken (out of context) and run with by his oppenents. Kind of like the guns and religion comment.

Romney is living up to my worst case scenario for him. He's pandering so much to the extremists, he just won't make it. McCain did not do that but Sarah Palin did and look what happened there. I am about to join the ranks of folks asking, "Are the Republicans trying to lose on purpose?"

If you are born here you have easily won the world wide lottery and yes 95% of your opportunities are taken care of compared to the rest of the world.

You have been born in the only country in the world you can succeed or fail based only upon your own actions. You weren't granted any birth right, you are not limited because of the class you were born into, there are no limit's to what you can achieve.

If you are born poor in America you can improve your self and the sky is the limit. Born anywhere else and that isn't so true. If you were born here 95% of your success has been handed to you on a silver platter. You are the other 5% of the equasion. The USA is the best place in the world for people that want to improve themselves and yes, being born here gives you a huge advantage.

Born in the USA is a 95% advantage over any other country in the world. Because it only has one person standing in your way and that is you.
