The conditions of 1980 are different from 1996, which are different from 2004 and 2012...
that's not an answer, it's a dodge.

There is an enormous difference between our being loved and our being respected by the people of other countries.

I remain quite indifferent to the former.

But I care a great deal about the latter...

Forest for the trees there sunshine.

As I pointed out, it's the REPUBLICANS who are failing to grasp Obama's support around the world.
If you want to claim the Republicans are not adults, that's on you...

That explains why he's being burned in effigy amid chats of "death to Obama" in the Middle East. They want him? They can have him.

Time to educate the young'uns...
Do you understand the difference between "majority", and universal with no exceptions of anybody anywhere ever disliking?

Hint: They are not the same thing...

Yes. Some people internationally do not like Obama. Some people internationally hate Obama.
Doesn't make the results of the poll false, does it?

Do you understand the relative effective importance of people who take polls versus those who will take to the streets with shoulder mounted rocket launchers?

20 muslim countries would disagree with the poll. As much as obama has bent over backwards to kiss the ass of the islamists in the world he has done nothing but make matters worse.

And, just because there are a bunch of socialist loving people in the world doesn't mean squat to any of us in the U.S. of A.

As a wise sage once said, "if they want him, they can have him."

People in other countries will 'support' someone who they identify with politically, or feel they can manipulate.

Many don't agree with the American ideals, for which this country was founded. Of course they would support whomever is willing to change that.

Yes.

And that relative effect (with regards to whether there are rocket launchers or no rocket launchers) will be the same regardless of whether Obama is in office or Romney is in office.

Now, are you finished asking stupid questions?
(Rhetorical question )

Can you actually discuss the topic at hand of this thread, instead of pretending that you are the adult when the reality is simply that you are refusing to engage in honest and direct discussion?

It would be interesting if we could institute a filter to eliminate pompous chest beating. I think at least half your posts would disappear...

It doesn't matter how many polls disprove your inane claims, does it...

Here's a question.
Do you seriously think these countries will like Romney better?

You just summed up the Republican party's support of Romney.
But this thread isn't about that topic...

No they probably will like Romney less. But they will respect him more than they do Obama's weak kneed sympathy over an insulting video. The price of Obama's popularity is 4 dead Americans including our ambassador and numerous attacks on our embassies. It is popularity without respect. Why should they respect us when the OA responds with sympathy for their "pain"? Foreign policy built around the President's personal popularity, what a joke.
