Default Tuesday night at the RNC Convention

Any comments about the speeches? Chris Christie, Ann Romney, Mia Love, Rick Santorum, Artur Davis?

For me, the speech of the night was from Ann Romney. Christie was inspiring, Love was exceptional, Davis was a valuable insight into the black conservative mind, but I really didn't care much for Santorum - too much me, me, me.

Some of the conservatives on Fox were complaining about him not bashing Obama more or mentioning Romney more. I disagree with them. It's obvious how badly Obama has mismanaged things during his term and everyone is aware of it. Besides Ryan will handle that quite well tomorrow night. And as far as him not mentioning Romney, he did towards the end of his speech where it really meant something. After Ann Romney, anything more said about Romney would be unnecessary.

Ann and Christie were great last night as expected. I really enjoyed Mia Love and Kasich, they were very good.

I was bored stiff. I expected a barn burner from Christie. They all sounded over rehearsed. I think Ann was trying too hard to tell woman she loves them. Pander party.

I think most of them did more damage to the campaign than they did to help. Any Republican Governor standing on a national stage proclaiming his state is doing well only helps Obama. They all did it, even Christie.

Anne Romney was the only one I halfway enjoyed but She was pandering to a voting block so it kind of took the heat out of the speech.

I did notice that Romney looked uncomfortable as he listened to Christie speak.. He was probably wondering if he had stepped into the twilight zone and zoomed forward to 2016.

I missed Santorum, but I enjoyed the rest. My favorites were between Chris and Ann's, but I just heard the first of tonight's. Rand Paul's is my new fave. That rocked.

More to come though.

They did a snap poll today, and Mitt's favorable rating went up 5 points.

Snap poll: Romney’s favorable rating rises five points overnight, Christie’s speech most popular Hot Air

Saw only last of Condi speech. Will listen to it tomorrow . Gov of NM was good, Ryan was pretty stellar if you listen from the viewpoint of a vacuum.
Thing is I have no doubt they can bring the country round. Question is do I want to reward dishonesty and making us all suffer for four years to get their guy the credit...

Condi gave a good speech but I couldn't help but think how wrong she is all the time. I mean, she was the one who brought us GW Bush. It was her and George Shultz that OK'd GWB. She has been wrong so many times that I am always wondering why so many overlook it. The sabre rattling stuff is not well recieved by me given the sh*t they got us into. But between her and Ryan I think Condi had a better speech. Ryan reminds me of an over eager eagle scout and Eddie Haskell at the same time.
