Let's see...

The biggest issue is the economy...Should we go with the guy who has vast amounts of experience signing payroll checks and being a CEO or the guy whose economic experience consists o crying how America sucks and isn't fair?...

Decisions; decisions...

We have had people from business who became POTUS and failed the economy before. Previous experience in business is no guarantee of anything. I am trying to remember where Obama said America sucks. Not like it would change your mind but I would bet about a thousand dollars he never said that.

Elections have become grossly expensive, successful candidates have to start their reelection campaigns the day after they're elected..
Regarding the last statement, I can’t help but think that will hurt Republicans in the long run in this election cycle.
I’ve seen previous discussion on how the candidates were feeling a toll based on more campaign time => higher campaign finances.
Such a situation could have been a boon to Romney as he had deeper pockets => hurt some of the candidates that some Republicans (but obviously not most) would have rather have had running against Obama.

Oh well…

Mitt Romney does suffer from a lack of enthusiasm, in general, among the GOP base. (As one person put it: Newt Gingrich--or Rick Santorum, alternatively--is the person you date, whereas Mitt Romney is the person you settle down with, and marry.)

But I believe Dick Morris is probably correct, when he notes that President Obama has despaired of all hope of his persuading a majority of (usual) voters to vote for him; so he is trying, desperately, to put Humpty Dumpty back together again, just like in 2008, and bring in an abnormally high youth vote.

It is a strategy that is unlikely to succeed, in my opinion.

Still, I do expect this election to be very close, and to come down, ultimately, to a handful of swing states.

Sweet, poll wanking, so soon it may as well be called morning wood.
