Barr may run for president on Libertarian ticket

Quote:
Cherokee County confirms he is considering a run for the White House as a Libertarian.

"There is great deal [of] dissatisfaction with the candidates for the two major parties, particularly among conservatives, but also a great deal of Internet and other support for a candidate like Ron Paul who advocates libertarian and true conservative principles," Barr, who is now a Libertarian, told the newspaper.

Paul, a Republican candidate this year, was the Libertarian presidential candidate in 1988. The Times said Barr declined to say whether he had been approached by Paul about a presidential bid.
I hope this doesn't turn into another internet charade like Paul's presidential bid did...

Both? My first choice is Obama, but I would support Barr over McCain.

Don't make assumptions about what I know and what I don't know. Bob Barr was a long time Republican representative. He caught flack for being against the Amendment to ban marriage because he didn't feel that it was the governments responsibility to legislate state's rights. You know, the Georgian with the glasses that retired after being a leader of the Clinton impeachment.

Just because you didn't know jack about Barr before this was announced doesn't mean that some of us aren't more informed. Assumptions are the mother of all f*ckups.
