You have some on the right who CLING to the birther clause, thinking they are doing something great they can be proud of.
You have others on the right who understand it is an embarrassment, and try to pin the blame on Obama.

In the end, it's simply a circus that embarrasses the right.

Regardless, if you actually click to read the links and WHY this court presumed to rule the way it did, you'll find this:

The point is, to be a natural born citizen, one must have 2 parents who, at the time of the birth in question, be citizens of the United States. As Obama’s father was not a citizen, the argument is that Obama, constitutionally, is ineligible to serve as President.

So, for the people who need it spelled out for them, this ruling NEVER claimed that Obama was not born in Hawaii...
The birth certificate being "false" WAS NOT the basis of this ruling.

(And yet we see people chiming in, cackling with glee over a pretense that somehow his birth certificate has been shown insufficient... )

No.
This court is using a FALSE standard, proclaiming he cannot be "natural born" unless BOTH his parents were American.


And the bottom line...
Ignoring how this ruling will never stand on appeal, if a state WERE to insist on leaving Obama off the ballot...
... The federal government could simply INVALIDATE the state's votes as it refused to place all eligible participants on the ballot.


In the end, this circus act is amazing.
Congratz to the birthers. After shopping around FOR YEARS for a judge who is as nutty as they are, it looks like you guys found one.

If I were in his place I would feel the same way. He is the only President I know of who has had to prove he was a Citizen 3 years into his first term in office. The fact that there are people out there who still believe the nonsense is beyond comprehension.

And Southerners wonder why the rest of the country holds them in contempt.

You should be able to acquire a legal copy of your Birth Certificate as long as you were born after 1908 , the Department of Vital statistics has you on record...

lol.. uh, the fact that the Office of Vital Statistics has you on record as being born in that particular Hospital in Alabama on such and such date and the fact that they have all the information needed to print you a legal copy if the need should arise for you to prove you are American , well You have it... But I get the point, Birthers need more than that.
