Talk of Obama-Bloomberg ticket grows
Quote:
I'm unsure about this, but the timing is pretty bad...The superdelegates haven't officially been tallied yet, and I have a feeling this is gonna dissaude hardcore Democrats and swing back Hillary's way just like the hardcore Republicans side is cooled with McCain...

I can see only one way Obama would pick a white male for the VP position. If and it's a BIG if..McCain starts to damage Obama on national security. If McCain is successful in painting Obama as weak on the WoT or foreign policy,Obama may be "forced" to pick someone like Wesley Clark or Senator James Webb. This is precisely why candidates wait till the last minute to annonce their running mate.If McCain fails to damage him on those issues,I believe Obama will pick a white female to run with him.

Picking a guy like Wesley Clark might help for the candidacy, but within two months in office Clark would be ready to put a shiv up Obama's butt... I know grabbing a VP just for votes leads to a little frustration between the top two in office...history has shown that...but in this case it would be catastrophic...

I doubt if he picks a woman. Just my opinion. I think that would push some that are willing to vote for Obama over to McCain. There is still a gender divide in this country. As there is a race divide. I think some of those that feel they will take a chance on Obama may be turned off by too many new things at once. Anyway thats my speculation.
