Default McCain not eligible to be Pres.?? Nice try.

Now I've heard it all. Evidently there is a movement of idiots who are trying to get McCain disqualified from running for Pres. because he was born in the Panama Canal.

I don't think so. He was born a U.S. military dependent (and citizen) while his father was serving on foreign soil. That does NOT mean he was a foreigner. The DUMocrats never cease to amaze me! It's unfortunate that the masses are "asses".

For some more pertinant, fact based but under-reported thoughts to ponder, visit me at Barack Obama on Squidoo

Now there is the biggest laugh of the day: the people wanting to DQ McCain because he was born outside of the USA, even though he was born a US military dependent. Some people will say anything to get noticed.

Do you , by any chance, have a link to this movement?

McCain’s Canal Zone Birth Prompts Queries About Whether That Rules Him Out

Who would've guessed it was a New York Times article?...

This is the line that should answer all questions...

Quote:
Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina and one of Mr. McCain’s closest allies, said it would be incomprehensible to him if the son of a military member born in a military station could not run for president.

He was posted there on orders from the United States government,” Mr. Graham said of Mr. McCain’s father. “If that becomes a problem, we need to tell every military family that your kid can’t be president if they take an overseas assignment.”

Can't see why you are rolling your eyes. The article was overall positive toward McCain's right to hold the big chair.

And I also fail to see any evidence of a movement.

Almost since those words were written in 1787 with scant explanation, their precise meaning has been the stuff of confusion, law school review articles, whisper campaigns and civics class debates over whether only those delivered on American soil can be truly natural born.
Doesn't sound like a "movement" to me.

It is funny how this article came to light today and not well before he announced his candidacy.

Newspapers would do anything to dig up dirt, even though this may not look dirty.
