Architect of Romney's healthcare law says it's 'the same' as Obama's - The Hill's Healthwatch

White House hopeful Mitt Romney is “lying” when he says the healthcare law he signed in Massachusetts is substantively different from President Obama’s, a key architect of both plans said Wednesday. Jonathan Gruber, a healthcare economist and a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, made the comments in an interview with Capital New York, criticizing Romney’s attempt to argue that the federal healthcare law goes further than what he signed as Massachusetts governor. "The problem is there is no way to say that," Gruber said. "Because they're the same f---ing bill. He just can't have his cake and eat...

Romney is a RINO in con clothing if we believe the HC hype.......

That said, moderates might find that attractive compared to Newt......

This race is very interesting as we approach the end game.......

Except, one is Massachusetts state level and one is federal level.
Why do Obamacare apologists always avoid that all-critical detail?

It doesn't matter. If a state wishes to do the same, the ACA has allowed for waivers for it. But it has to do the same or better than the ACA would do. And Congress does have the right to regulate something that is 17% of our GDP. So, either way, it works.

I don't know......

Ask Newt, he supports Obama care too.......

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Sunday that he strongly supports a federal mandate requiring citizens to buy health insurance – a position that has been rejected by many Republicans, including several who likely will be running against him for the Republican presidential nomination.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Gingrich told host David Gregory that he continues to advocate for a plan he first called for in the early 1990s as a Congressman, which requires every uninsured citizen to purchase or acquire health insurance.

Gregory played a clip of Gingrich speaking during an appearance on Meet the Press in October 1993:

“I am for people, individuals -- exactly like automobile insurance -- individuals having health insurance and being required to have health insurance. And I am prepared to vote for a voucher system which will give individuals, on a sliding scale, a government subsidy so we insure that everyone as individuals have health insurance.”
