There's a Texas-sized stumbling block on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's comeback trail.

Even Clinton's most devoted surrogate -- her husband, Bill Clinton -- acknowledged the do-or-die stakes on Wednesday in Beaumont, Texas, conceding that a loss in Texas or Ohio would likely doom her candidacy.

"If she wins Texas and Ohio I think she will be the nominee. If you don't deliver for her, I don't think she can be. It's all on you," the former president told the audience at the beginning of his speech.

A series of demographic and organizational challenges are coming together to make the Lone Star State an extraordinarily difficult venue for Clinton, with her campaign needing a decisive win to overcome Sen. Barack Obama's growing edge in convention delegates.

You have to have voters motivated to get out there and vote.
Harris county (Houston) went for Jessie Jackson when he ran, and Obama is a much more serious contender.
Hispanics historically do not have a fondness for African Americans. This may be a leftover from the days when their ancestors transported slaves and had to build up some kind of psychological mechanism to allow them to trade in human bondage. (They are sub human, they are not as good as me, and etcetera)
But are the Hispanics motivated to go out and vote for Hillary? And what about the white vote?
Here's a question. What if you are a democrat who is predjudiced against women and blacks?
Are there enough white women to carry Hillary to victory?
I say no. I predict Barak Obama will sweep Texas and whether he wins in Ohio or not, this round will see Hillary Clinton's swan song.
Let's hope she bows out gracefully without an extended court fight in Florida!

Is there a Democrat out there who is still a bigot? Looking back at the issue, Hillary Clinton must get the votes in Texas to have an edge in presidential nominee...

The base of the Democratic party before civil rights was northeasterners and Southern blue collar workers. Then when the party under Kennedy and Johnson embraced civil rights a flood of "Dixie-crats" as they were called fled to the Republican party. Among them Senator Strom Thermond while he was already in office as a Democrat! I think, though, some of the platform the Republican's hard right wing embraced, left a bitter taste in the mouths of these former Democrats. They remained Republican during the Reagan years and have been dwindling back recently. Looking back at the issue, Hillary Clinton must get the votes in Texas to have an edge in presidential nominee...

I think history will prove that Bill's overactive roll in the campaighn hurt Hillary more than it helped her! Even Obama said that sometimes he was confused as to who his opponent was,Bill or Hillary? Her campaighn resembled a wrestling tag team..

This suggest that the political platform of Hilary Clinton is not well structured that even Obama was confused. LOL

I'm not sure if Clinton really withstand the battle with the help of voters in Texas. Obama still has the way over Clinton.

UPDATE:

Clinton looks to stop Obama in aftermath of 10 losses

It is time to get real..., says Bill Clinton. It's time for reality check-- 10 consecutive lossess, how will you stand with it? Clinton needs a triple digits from Texas if she wants to win.

I heard various polls announced on the news. I think she was 7 points ahead at one point. Some of this might be due to the fact real Hillary suporters see Obama's strong numbers and decide they don't want him as president. So they are more motivated. Some women I've talked to are upset because they thought this was finally their time to shine.
We will just have to see what happens. It's like the closest football game ever and has everyone (even non political junkies) on the edge of their seat.
So what happens if she wins Texas and he wins Ohio?
Somebody slap me!

If my experience on the internet is any indication, then most certainly yes.
