Re: Richardson ends presidential bid
Okay, so by now, those of us who follow the primaries know that Bill Richardson is no longer in the race for the Democratic nomination. What gets me is that he seemed to be the all star player. Sure he wasn't flashing like Obama or have the resources of Hillary, but he had the resume. Bill Richardson had the best resume out of ALL candidates running. He spent time in the House, Secretary of Energy, Ambassador to the United Nations, Governor, and has an impeccable international record. He isn't too far left, he couldn't be as a western governor. He has the respect of many on the right. Heck, even Huck called to thank the Governor for his service.
It seems to me that in the bright lights of the media, the substance got lost. We were more concerned with beauty and bravado than brains. So now, as a moderate, I have to find a new candidate. Sadly, I've narrowed it down to two. Obama, because he at least will try for a change away from the 'neo-con' condition we suffer from. McCain because honestly he's the best out of the Republican lot and I think he's most reasonable about the 'liberal' issues that concern me.

They just ask them to be smart, truthful, honest, and show a modicum of good sense." Ann Richards, Former Texas Governor
