Clinton and McCain the comeback kids

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) -- Sens. Hillary Clinton and John McCain received much-needed boosts from New Hampshire Tuesday.

Clinton, coming off a disappointing third-place finish in Iowa, rebounded to overcome rival Sen. Barack Obama in the state's Democratic primary.

Supporters at her headquarters chanted "comeback kid" as the results came in.

Clinton trailed Obama by 9 points in recent polls.

On the Republican side, McCain easily won his party's primary.

The results mark a resurgence for the Arizona senator, whose campaign was all but written off this summer.

Clinton and McCain embraced their comeback positions in addressing supporters Tuesday night.

"Over the last week, I listened to you, and in the process I found my own voice," Clinton said to a crowd of young supporters.

"Now together, let's give America the kind of comeback that New Hampshire has just given me."

McCain, a 71-year-old, four-term senator, was met by a crowd shouting, "Mac is back."

I thought Obama had this in the bag,he had a 9 to 11 point advantage just last night! Sure,we all know things can change in a heartbeat but that was a big spread for 24 hours!

ha-ha, LOL

Now I'm in a dilemma. I was getting worked up about the other two guys. Now I have to have hope McCain will win the nomination. Then have hopes dashed cause he probably won't win the general election.

Nothing means nothing until Super Tuesday...

Everything up until then is a sideshow...

I almost wish our news wasn't so readily available.

They're talking about "winning" and "out of the race" and "come back kid" and all that stuff. But none of it means anything - they just have to feed 24 hours of dead air.

less than 1/2 of 1% of the probably voters in America have voted thus far.

Thank you John Edwards...

Really, I'm all about knowing who is winning these primaries. It's not that I'm going to base my vote on it, but it's more like sports. I watch regardless if my team is winning.

I believe McCain not only can be beaten,he can be badly beaten! So I have "mixed" feelings about his candidacy...time will tell..
