As California legalization vote nears, pot proponents enjoy narrow lead

The problem is of course, that most of the Pro-Pot voters won't realize that it's Voting Day Tuesday, until Thursday.

LOL, the pot growers are opposed!

They stand to lose a bundle in profits if pot becomes easy to get.

Just like the rum-runners weren't too happy about the end of prohibition.

Even with a state of quasi-legalization where medical m.j. laws are lax such as they are here in Montana - prices go down, and dealers suffer when people can grow their own in their homes free from prosecution. With literally tens of thousands of "caregivers" running small operations, selling to a handful of legal customers, the cartels suffer. A few large scale operations have sprung up, but the state government is tweaking the law in ways that will shut them down in favor of people growing their own or having one-on-one relationships with caregivers rather than an organization being able to sell to hundreds of customers legally.

Drug dealers do NOT like the idea of legalization, only the users do.

And they won't be able to gather enough interest or energy to actually go out and vote either.

But people in the Rehab Industry have a vested interest in legalization. I expect that the suppliers' group and the group composed of owners of Rehab facilities will have a major overlap.
