As you know I'm no fan of Palin's...I didn't like her much before I read Game Change and disliked her even more after reading that book. It's not personal,she's cute and perky but she's no pol. Most of our members here may be a good deal more informed than she is.One thing I know about her is this,she does like money and the opportunities it brings to her family. Nothing wrong with that but she's far from ready for prime time and McCain found that out the hard way. She's very (emotional)...and she has a hard time grasping foreign affairs and staying on point.So...she can only improve herself but do I think she has the right stuff?...NO

One of the main reason I don't care for Palin, she is a serious warmonger. Also, just listening to her speak, it is obvious that she is not too bright. Her speeches seem to have an underlying hateful tone with not much original thought or content. My general impression, she is not mentally stable either. I was actually relieved when I learned that she went to Fox, hoping that would be enough to keep her distracted. No doubt, she loves being in the spotlight.

But what do you base that opinion on???? 90% of the crap that gets attibuted to her comes from Tina Fey. Every time I ask this question I get some vague, out of context crap that doesn't show anything. What is it about Gov. Palin that makes you think that she's stupid?? Is it blind prejudice or is there some substance behind this???? People take scraps of speeches and turn them into complete opinions about her. If I wanted to, I could claim Pres. Obama is dumber than your average 4th grader because he thinks that there are 57 states, but that wouldn't be honest.

She can't do much beyond go on the attack. The Couric interview showed that.

People complain that Obama just attacks Republicans / Bush, but then refuse to notice that Palin does exactly that from the other side of the fence.

But while Palin fails at softball Couric questions, Obama goes to the Republican's den and engages them without difficulty...

I base it on watching her speak at various events and book signings viewable on the Internet and television.
See an earlier post where I said anyone who says a few patriotic slogans will draw applause.
I have not heard a thing that seemed informed come out of her mouth since that first great speech she gave after being picked as vp.I don't think she is well read and although she may be a nice person and a terrific mom, I just don't think she has much smarts where it would count.
As an aside: Seeing her outright lie about the Rush Limbaugh thing brought her down a notch as far as character for me too.She could have used her righteous indignation to chastise the fat **** but showed she feared repercussions. Fear gives your enemies power over you. Anyhow, she lost on that one.
