This shows the stupidity of todays educators. Zero Tolerance has taken over for common sense. No way should this child, or any child be expelled from school because of a toy gun. I'm so glad I don't have kids in school today because most educators are idiots and we would be having words every day.

I understand the policy about toy guns in school but this is a six year old who needs to have the issue explained to her and not be expelled. Educators today are the ones lacking education it seems.

I'm still trying to understand that WTF nominee/awardee's statement (post #2) about how a toy gun and a toy crack pipe differ in a child pretending to hurt himself.

I'd much rather see children taught about guns and encouraged to take up marksmanship. In fact, we were introduced to marksmanship, albeit with BB guns in the sixth grade. Of course, we were more aligned with Reality back then.
