If I owned a company I could find a brilliant, motivated, creative and problem solving individual to do it for $100,000 with the potential to eventually reach $200,000 with a decent retirement plan. There are some kids out there that are capable of doing it and would love the opportunity to take on a task of that magnitude and make that sort of money. Especially some 20-something year old making $32,000 a year. It would be quite easy.

Then, and here is the business aspect of it, you can pass on that huge payroll savings on to your customers by lowering your prices, which will increase your sales, thus making you even more money.

What is so hard about this?
Nothing prevents you from putting your theory to the test in your own business with your own money at risk.

Well, I think a lot of students feel entitled. They assume they will get a high paying job and the world will cater to them. Now, it does suck to spend $80k in school just to only find a job at Wendy's, but some people just rant and rave about other positions in their field because it may not be the company they wanted to work for.

You are not going to walk out of college and become a CEO, CFO, or any other high rank unless you start up your own company.

I suppose that we are supposed to be outraged by the juxtaposition of salaries,

but what stands out to me is that teachers make 44g for less than 2080 hours work.

I know they whine that they "take work home" but who the heck doesn't

If teachers want to make more than 44g they should find different jobs.

If they are shocked that they are only going to make 44g then they shouldn't be allowed around children because they are clearly too stupid to do even the most basic research prior to entering a career.
