BTW Junk silver quarters and dimes are a good way to take advantage of silver's depressed current price without a large capital investment. Of course as with all investments silver prices can decrease as well as appreciate over time, buyer beware.

It shows what happens when "currency" is tied to something of value. Value of goods and services remains relatively constant against each other . . . It's the value of modern fiat "currency" that fluctuates wildly.

A price of a gallon of gas ranged between 20 cents and 30 cents from the end of the Depression till 1964 . . . Guess what, a '64 quarter now valued at about $3.00, still equals a gallon of gas.

I have a good amount of 90% and gold and silver bullion. I don't hold pm's as an investment, for me it is insurance against the decline in my dollar denominated investments (I'm not mad that my DCA is quite positive ).

I believe that when the dollar's collapse finally occurs, US 90% silver coinage will be useful in the short term for trade; the bullion is longer term, to reclaim my standard of living after the financial reset.
