Default S/s cost of living isn't keeping pace with real cost.

Some how my idea of Cost of Living Rising and the federal govt,. is wide apart.

I mean the idea of Cost of Living Increases for Veterans, S/S payees and some disabled is based upon a percentage of how much the costs were at, right?

Here is why S/S won't rise by much,, 0.3 % increase. About $3.00 increase.

Here's Why Your Social Security Check Is Hardly Going to Budge in 2017

Well let me show you a few risings costs in the news. Yet the Democrats managing this position seem to have missed.

Cost of Living rises at faster pace in 5 months.

US cost of living rises at fastest pace in five months

Renters pay more now.

With rental prices rising, is the landlord life for you?

As we all know from shopping for food which have cost increases through out the year each year.

Gas has increased a bit of late to and will always rise some. The cost for a taxi or other public transportation will go up.

The cost of any pet foods and equipment will rise... So the 60 million seniors will face a heck of a lot more than a $3.00 increase in living cost going into 2017 and through out the year.

So how is it these factors were not part of the index in totaling this years increase?
I mean the Government is always meddling in public schools so why is their math so far different than us civilians?

Cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) are generally equal to the percentage increase in the consumer price index for urban wage earners and clerical workers (CPI-W) for a specific period.

And you can show that this increase is measured to the consumer price index?

Also it is adjusted for 2017, I believe in June or July. For which any amount will have risen even higher in that 6 or 7 months span, would it not salty?

The whole point I am making is the Govt., sets it's numbers and really doesn't use the true C.P.I.
As each year on average the cost of living goes up around 10% if not higher, right?

I do not believe my check has ever increased close to that amount. I remember once it got close a long time ago....

But hey I am just trying to get others to think about this. For many it is still to come, so start saving for it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
