Default Live analysis: Fed raises benchmark interest rate for first time in nearly 10 years

http://graphics.latimes.com/videocha...hike-analysis/

"Seven years to the day after lowering the rate to near zero, members of the policymaking Federal Open Market Committee edged it up 0.25 percentage point....If the Fed sticks to the small, 0.25 percentage point moves, that would mean four more rate hikes next year....
...The rate would rise to 2.4% by the end of 2017 and 3.3% by the end of 2018, according to the median projection of the Fed policymakers."

Oh yeah I'll run right out and open a savings account. God I miss Jimmy Carter...

You're in luck.

He survived his recent cancer. Legally he can serve four more years. You can vote for him again next November!

I voted for both of them myself.

Nixon again? maybe
Carter again,,, never!

Wasn't Obama enough punishment?

Now, as to the Fed,,, I wonder what this tiny change will mean to Wall Street? No free money? Sounds like I maybe should have bought Gold yesterday at $1,058.00

wish I cud take my Reagan vote back...
If rates went a chunk higher at each interval, housing prices would have to come down in a short few years. Savings would be up. But that's too logical and I forget it's not for me the consumer but for the big players. We don't count anymore.
