To be fair (try it sometime! ), the overall effect would STILL be lower taxes...

If a tax was 6% and they lowered it to 2%, then realize that they may have dropped it too much, and then wanted to raise it back to 4%, they STILL lowered the tax 2%!!!!!!!...

So the tax will NOT be "raised" overall...It would still be LOWERED...

Great!
By this approach, if Obama "raises" taxes but he doesn't raise them to above what they were previously, you won't say he "raised" taxes, will you.

What you describe inevitably means that they are only implementing a partial fix.

If they raise it only to 4%, then the GOP will still find the revenue shortfall but it won't be as bad. I suspect Kansas GOP will just try to continue to cut expenditures (which was not part of the plan as originally described). A bait and switch from what they originally described as they cut things like education.

We will be posting about the GOP's ****up in Kansas for quite some time...

Perhaps if Kansas could get off the federal teat, THAT would be a better implementation of Republican policies...
Kansas Summary || EWG Farm Subsidy Database
32 percent of farms in Kansas did not collect subsidy payments - according to USDA.
Which means a whopping 2/3 of all Kansas farms ARE collecting subsidies. Kansas ranks 6th out of 50 states for subsidy collection.

False...

If HE was the one that lowered them in the first place, you'd have a point...

But if his FIRST move is to raise taxes (which it was), it's irrelevant as to what they were BEFORE he did so...

In the article in the OP, the Kansas GOP (and GOP governor) are the VERY SAME PEOPLE that lowered the taxes in the first place....
