Save who? The Chinese or India? Who do they think is going to buy products without a job? Certainly not Americans.

Yup and we may see even more of this expendable labor/corporate "savings" plan after November. Eventually...in 10 to 15 years,it may trickle back down to labor..

Gee..I'm glad I'm in business for myself...

Me too though I've seen no revenue lately
And I'm glad as heck my kids are versatile and always thinking the angle. Two are in a couple of businesses and are doing well, just paid themselves out of debt and trying to save for a baby.

Yes and as I sit here I know younger people get tired of even hearing how good it was. I feel so guilty that we were duped somewhere along the way and allowed this to happen. We should have been marching on the streets in the eighties , Lord knows we knew how to organize. But we were busy living and raising families. When things started to change we just hung on or packed up or retrained.
But I can't help but think the American spirit that led us to lead the world will get us -if not back, will get us -up.

When I sold the home I had built for my family in 1971,I received three times what I paid for it. I made a great living and my wife never had to work. After the kids finished HS,she went back to college and went to work. My how the times have changed..

What was missed is how well HP shares did yesterday. from Yahoo. They have a video between the title and the short story.
