Bush did it. Why would I expect anything else? This administration has you so brainwashed all you can do is repeat talking points. How long does BO have to be in office before he starts taking responsibility? If he can't straighten this country out if 3 1/2 years what could possibly make you think he can do any better with another 4 years? Nothing he has done has worked. We keep getting further in debt and he keeps throwing more good money after bad.

Obama can't handle losing. He sees all the polls starting to shift in Romney's direction and is getting desperate. Instead of trying to change direction, he is doubling down and preaching the same old tired rhetoric we have been getting from him for the past 10 years. And all he does is talk about it. He never follows through. When he loses this election, they'd better put a suicide watch on him.

How about you address the fact we have the same number of jobs as in 2000? The jobs have been upping and downing for years. This jobs stuff is a game to win republican talking points, when reality shows the past 10 years America has been in decline in jobs.
once more from the top

Here's the problem with your numbers. They don't take into account the number of new job-seekers that are added to the labor force every year. During Bush's tenure, adding 2,000,000+ jobs a year took care of those additional people. That's why he had 4 to 4.5% unemployment figures through most of his two terms. Obama's added job growth figures don't even take care of the new members of the work force, much less get the unemployed back to work. That's why Obama's actual unemployment figures are around 15%.

And you also need to remember that we went into a recession after 9/11 in 2001. By putting the Bush tax cuts into effect, he brought us out of the recession quickly and the economy was vibrant through most of his two terms.

Bush added 5,000,000 jobs. If it hadn't been for the housing bubble (created by Reid and Frank) and the fact that the Democrats took over both houses in 2006, it would have been a lot more than that.

Yes I would be vibrant for awhile if I quit paying my bills till all that came back to bite me. Of course I cannot retire from that responsibility in four to 8 years.

yes and the recession as huge as it was was not created in 2 years. It was a perfect storm. Deregulation, jobs leaking overseas, 911, housing bubble, lowering taxes too many times too fast, wars unpaid for at today's cut throat prices...

And rather than blaming it on the Democratic congress who took over in 2006, you push all the blame off on the Bush Administration. Then Obama gets elected, has super majorities in both houses, can pass any legislation he wants to for 2 years, does nothing but healthcare and it's still Bush's fault that Obama can't get the economy straightened out. Now we are at 3 and 1/2 years of Obama's administration, nothing is working and it's STILL BUSH'S FAULT. Do you not see how silly that sounds? I can't believe anyone would believe this scenario.
