Default CDC chief corrects Sotomayor’s pediatric COVID hospitalization claim

The SCOTUS is supposed to be a pristine forum for weighing the most profound legal issues free from popular sentiment propagated by bias media. Yet last week during oral arguments over Biden’s vaccine mandates Justice Sotomayor spun a blatantly false tale straight from Democrat media.

Quote:
We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition and many on ventilators,” the justice said.
In a Sunday interview Biden’s CDC director confirmed there are 3,500 children hospitalized from Covid with only a small number on ventilators. But who cares if the statistic Sotomayor quoted is false, it's for the children.

But Sotomayor wasn't the only SCOTUS justice indicating their opinion wouldn't be formed by legal reasoning. Former Harvard Law school dean Elaina Kagen declared "we" all know the best policy is vaccination for all discarding legal reasoning for her opinion.

These left wing activists that are sitting on the highest court in the land, have demonstrated that the rule of law is secondary to their feelings about issues. The SCOTUS ONLY job is to determine the Constitutionality of the case before them. The efficacy of a medical treatment is irrelevant to the matter at hand.

The issue to be decided is, does a Federal agency have the legal authority to issue ORDERS to companies that require their employees to receive a medical treatment that they may or may not want. That's it, period. Whether or not that treatment is effective is irrelevant and should never enter the discussion.

The available evidence indicates the direct impact of COVID-19 on child, adolescent and youth mortality to be limited. However, there is concern that the indirect effects of the pandemic on mortality in these age groups stemming from strained health systems, household income loss, and disruptions to care-seeking and preventative interventions like vaccination may be more substantial.
Also and beep-Heads are having a field day using one wrong statement to attribute all statements regarding covid-19 as wrong. Their propaganda slip is showing.
And hospitals are over flowing.

Justice Sotomayor is a learned justice who should never make a statement so egregiously in-accurate. 100,000 vrs 4,000 is a huge "mistake." Most rational people would expect better from a SCOTUS justice.

Most rational people heard it as a lie.

Because it was.

The last thing Americans should ever except is a SCOTUS justice who would intentionally deceive.

BTW; Hospitals are over-flowing; Not with children but with the so called "vaccinated"

The study you cite is uses 2020 data drawn from 80 countries. The self proclaimed wise Latina justice was referring to the current impact of Covid among US children. The study found no excess mortality from Covid-19 among children and adolescents. The facts presented in the study contradict Sotomayor's claim of a massive Covid-19 impact from infected children.

Citing an irrelevant study, different dataset, different time period, confirms the danger of a SCOTUS Justice doing the same thing. Her erroneous opinion on the impact of the pandemic's impact shouldn't determine her legal finding on vaccine mandates. The Court is obligated to operate on legal reasoning not something the biased media spewed.

It's not just one little misstatement from Sotomayor. Justice Kagan couldn't resist injecting her opinion of the "best" policy of vaccination for all. No consideration is given to the impact of firing thousands of healthcare workers and other first responders who refuse to be subjected to the mandate. No, she thinks her seat on the bench confers dictatorial legislative power to determine best policy.

As we have seen twice with Obamacare Justices aren't shy about fabricating legal arguments and blatantly rewriting laws to support their opinions.
