Sotomayor issues scathing dissent in Supreme Court order that could reshape legal imm

The Wise Latina Justice Sotomayor is upset over the SCOTUS deciding Democrat favoring district judges ought not issue nationwide injunctions based on a partisan animus against the Trump administration.

Quote:

Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a scathing dissent late Friday night, castigating the government for repeatedly asking the Supreme Court on an emergency basis to allow controversial policies to go into effect and charging her conservative colleagues on the court with being too eager to side with the Trump administration on such requests.

The justice wrote that granting emergency applications often upends "the normal appellate process" while "putting a thumb on the scale in favor of the party that won." Targeting her conservative colleagues, she said "most troublingly, the Court's recent behavior" has benefited "one litigant over all others."
As befits a national board member of "the race" is upset at the Trump administration implementing a policy making it more difficult for public charge, welfare recipients, to obtain permanent status. After all it's the job of the imperial judiciary to block policies of the duly elected President when they conflict with her political positions. District judges ought to be able to tie up the Trump administration for years in the appeals courts. :rolls

In Sotomayor's version of justice Democrats have unlimited opportunity to petition forum shopped district judges to issue self righteous nationwide injunctions but the Trump administration's appeals ought to be rejected because they are numerous. Hurray for the apolitical justice. :rolls

She should be addressing the bolded part, and tell us why it's ok for judges to usurp federal laws, and make up their own laws as they go.

I've been looking for the text of her dissent and for some reason can't seem to find it. I wonder why that is.

What I want to know is if she had any other reason for her dissent. Or was it simply that they are getting "too many appeals" from the president.

I would say she has a point if he was losing them. But as that he's not, maybe she should focus on why the court got the ruling on the specific issue wrong.

Why is she not enraged that liberals are trying to use the courts to change policy instead of winning at the ballot box the way the Constitution was designed? Perhaps she understands that Americans in general, to not approve of the policies of the far left.

Ted Cruz had the perfect assessment of Sotomayor's latest Trump-hating leftist open-borders crocodile tears . . .

He said about her dissent, "I read it a little bit like an arsonist complaining about the noise from the fire trucks, . . . "

Yes, it was a rhetorical question. We all know why they operate in this fashion. I would just like someone on the left to address this question honestly. I won't hold my breath.

I don't understand the bold :wave

I heard she was wroth but didn't know why till now.
As I understand it the court has a calendar but the administration seems to seek special preference over frequently?

Sotomayor cannot seem to put aside her race, in order to act in the best interests of the country. While everybody has a political lean, she lets it affect her actions as an SCJ, and that is wrong, wrong, wrong.
