Corruption is actually harder than it looks and even though Barr is really good at being corrupt, it leads to really awkward moments like this one.

And I really hope his corrupt ass also ends up in prison along side Nunez, Kushner, tRUmp and Stone.

Barr, a man who is supposed to be America's attorney, has struggled so mightily trying to defend only the President. It brings to mind an off-hand remark I heard the other day during an editorial discussion of why Nunes has endangered himself doing Trump's bidding:
"Just how many pee tapes are there?!"

I almost feel sorry for all these MAGA morons who have been hanging their hat on this fisa report and Dunham counter investigation and how so many dems were going to jail any minute now. Then I realize they will just latch onto some new bulsll**** reality that somehow ends up with dems, Schiff, the deep state and never trumpers all going to jail once the Nunes report 3.0 come out, and I stop feeling sorry for these assclowns.

For those of us who refuse to hide behind the pay wall for Jeff Bezos vanity newspaper here is what's behind the deceptive headline.

Quote:

Attorney General William Barr reportedly disagrees with one of the key findings in the Justice Departmentís inspector generalís report on the origins of the Russia investigation, which states that the FBI had enough information in July 2016 to launch a probe into Trump campaign members. According to The Washington Post, Barr has said privately that he does not agree with Inspector General Michael Horowitzís conclusion that the FBI had enough information in July 2016 to launch a probe into Trump campaign members and that the investigation was launched on a legal and factual basis. Instead, Barr reportedly believes that Horowitz does not have enough information to draw that conclusion and has argued that other U.S. agencies may have information that could contradict Horowitzís finding
So the AG with more investigative power and resources disagrees with Horowitz's alleged conclusions. That's not the first time this has happened but of course it's dead bang proof Barr is a criminal. ;)

If we are to take this article as truth it doesn't impugn Barr. The IG's mandate was narrow, just looking at the process of obtaining the FISA warrants on Page and Papadopolous. Horowitz did not possess any power to indict or even compel testimony from people who are no longer with the government.

What needs to be focused on by -we the public- (if you are interested in what Barr "knows" beyond what Horowitz knows and how that leads to his statement about the IG report) is what information we already know . . .

NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers, who, without informing Clapper or Brennan or anyone, in what can only be described as "White Hat" frustration, went to Trump Tower a week and a half after election day and told Trump about the incredible amount of spying on him and his people that was done by certain operators within the Obama administration. Trump vacated Trump Tower the next day and moved critical transition operations to Trump National in Bedminster NJ, never to return to Trump Tower.

Make no mistake, Trump has known what was done to him from the earliest days . . .

Here's how we got there . . .

In late 2015, Admiral Rogers had discovered anomalies in the use of NSA metadata searches, set up under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). He tried various controls to tighten things up but to no avail.

This specifically means abuse of FISA ß702(16)(17) queries; a "702" is an American citizen, subsection 16 refers to searches with "To or From" parameters, subsection 17 denotes an "About" search.

Anytime an American citizen is swept up in NSA surveillance, all identifiers (email address, phone number, name, etc) must be shielded and can only be exposed under certain highly regulated conditions.

In April of 2016, Admiral Rogers became aware that the FBI was allowing "private contractors" to have complete access to the NSA database; this was shocking to him . . .

On April 18, 2016, Admiral Rogers shut down this private contractor access; remember that date.

Rogers then asked NSA’s Office of Compliance to conduct a “fundamental baseline review of compliance associated with 702” and issue a report to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC). They issued a report to the court in October that was complete BS. . . The NSA lied to the court and Rogers knew it.

Admiral Rogers then went straight to the FISA court and told them the report was bogus and there were problems in the use of the NSA database. The court began its own investigation and they issued a order in April of 2017 (note, that is after Trump was sworn in).

In the FISA court's top secret report (declassified by Trump) they found that in the short 6 month window they examined, 85% of the queries were illegal and that (going by the at least 5 character redaction) amounted to thousands of searches and there was nothing to lead them to believe that number was an outlier . . . It wasn't outrageous to think that volume of illegal searches could be typical going back to 2012 (some now believe the IRS targeting scandal was when it all started):

https://i.postimg.cc/NGWDZWKB/FISC-Court-1a-800x505.png

The FISC reported that the decision to allow this private contractors access was the result of "deliberate decisionmaking" and that the NSA and FBI kept this hidden from the court until Admiral Rogers informed them.

The FISC also ruled that no matter what agreements were made between agencies or with outside contractors, that would not overrule the rules for keeping US citizen identifiers confidential (and the 4th Amendment):

The FISC also reported that the private contractors had unfettered access to the database and that access was well beyond any reasonable need:

There's that date again, April 18, 2016, in the last sentence of the screen grab above . . . It is important because the very next day after "private contractor" access to the NSA database was shut-down by Rogers, Mary Jacoby, wife of Glenn Simpson, founder of Fusion GPS, was at the White House and stayed there for 14 hours . . . Now, that's a transcript I'd like to see . . .

Screen grab of White House visitor log:

By the end of April, Fusion GPS was hired by the DNC/Hillary, no doubt willing and able to use all the illegal data harvested out of the NSA, on HRC opponents and later, Trump and associates.

There will be plenty to discuss when the IG report comes out but the Barr / Durham investigation is the big one. When that comes down it will be evident that the Obama administration spied on hundreds if not thousands of US citizens for years, for political purposes, and that illegal activity mutated into an absolute monster once Trump became the nominee.

This illegality goes right into the Oval Office. This illegal and 4th Amendment violating information on US citizens, was for years incorporated into the Presidential Daily Briefing so it could be distributed in a very secure manner to people in the administration for political action. Samantha Powers, Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes are the primary actors in the White House involved in this.

It will be evident that the entire Russia Hoax (including the Mueller investigation) was an elaborate, ever evolving and expanding cover-up of the illegal activities done before election day, essentially trying to get all the illegal "spying" onto some semblance of a legal footing with falsely obtained FISA warrants. Getting the Page warrant was vitally important by any means possible.

With that warrant, the FBI gets an 18 month look-back and the "two-hop" rule. With the Page warrant, the FBI can look at everyone Page talked to for the last 18 months and then every person those people talked to for the last 18 months. If Page talked to 200 people in that year and a half and each or those people talked to 200 people, the feds have legal a blanket surveillance warrant on 40,000 people . . . This would cover much of the illegal spying they were doing on Trump associates throughout 2016, back into 2015.

Looking into those falsely obtained FISA warrants is what Horowitz has been doing but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Barr and Durham have been crossing the globe, traveling to Italy and Australia and the UK, finding out about CIA 's work with foreign governments doing things against US citizens that was actually illegal.

It was just announced in October that the Durham investigation was a criminal one. No doubt that was because there were dozens if not hundreds of subpoenas issued before the October public release of a newer FISA court order, looking at tens of thousands more illegal searches of the NSA database, right into the period of the Special Counsel's investigation. Maybe I'll make a post about that court order . . .

Things are going to get really nasty really soon.

This is only a short, superficial look at what the REAL investigations are all about. The depth and degree of the shocking and breathtaking criminality of the Obama administration will be laid bare in all it's glory, and the reckoning will be delicious.

First off, I wouldn't believe the Washington Post to report what has already happened and that I can see with my own two eyes. To believe their prediction based on anonymous sources about anything is just folly.

On it's face the reporting is conveniently dodgy, clearly intended to mold an opinion rather than inform. Here's the basis for the eye-grabbing headline:

"People familiar with the matter said Horowitz queried U.S. intelligence agencies to determine whether there was any truth to that claim and found no evidence Mifsud was a U.S. asset. He also reached out to Durham to see whether the prosecutor had found anything that might contradict that assessment, and Durham said he had no such evidence, people familiar with the matter said."

Who ever claimed Misfud was a US asset? Might as well report that NASA was asked if Misfud was a shape-shifting alien and they said they had no evidence for that and Durham was asked if he had any information that NASA was wrong and he said, WTF are you talking about?. . .

The claim (by Papadopolous and others) that Misfud was a "western intelligence asset" doesn't mean he's a direct US asset. This article is refuting something that was never asserted to try to craft a narrative that the Papadopolous "crime" wasn't a purposeful set-up to get a predicate for domestic investigation of Trump "associates".

The belief that Misfud was western intelligence and not a Russian agent was confirmed by Misfud's attorney, Stefan Rowe.

Was Misfud working for the UK or Italy or both? Well, Barr and Durham were in Italy, received information and evidence (Misfud's Blackberries, with UK sim cards) from their intelligence services.

The question for Barr and Durham is, did the CIA direct other nation's intelligence services to deploy assets (including Misfud) to bait and hook Papadopolous? One wouldn't expect them to freely admit that since it's illegal for the CIA to target (even indirectly) US citizens abroad.

Remember, we are talking about Brennan's CIA, the one that hacked into the Senate Intelligence Committee and removed data, emphatically denied it and then had to admit it.

For now, here's what we do know, Mueller was wrong; Misfud wasn't a Russian asset and Misfud lied repeatedly to the FBI and he was never charged.

Was he protected?

what is headbanging proof is that Barr services trump not the country.
I'm beginning to think all the GOP who haven't left the party are commies, compromised by commies or paid substantially to go along
how many republican pols and officials have either left the party or are shaking their heads at the antics of the GOP congress' actions including McConnel and Nunes?
