I firmly believe that the choice made by either party in power is TOTALLY political and has been for most if not all of my life. It was once true the political parties actually got along well enough to actually run the country to the citizens advantage.

But some were along the line the wheels fell off the buss. A long time ago...

Regards, Kirk

.... So no, I'm not mad the Democrats are "caving" because Gorsuch, at least at this juncture, seems to be well qualified without any overt disqualifications. But I firmly believe the Republicans will pay a heavy price for what they have done in politicizing the court.
The other side of that though, is that Obama shouldn't have played politics with the court by shamelessly trying to use Scalia's death to move the court farther to the left.

It was supposed to be the Presidents pick. The republicans went Anti American to never give Merrick a hearing. The right has gone extremely divisive. They did it to Obama day one out of racism.

A good time to show the race card is when racism is prevalent. There was a lot of racism involved in how Obama was treated by the right. From birtherism, questioning his faith, his education. The fake news the right used during his presidency like him apologizing for America, his executive orders outnumbering any other presidents. Then the plan to refuse toi work with him at all that the republican leadership promoted for purely partisan racist reasons. Sometimes there is real racism. The right showed it to Obama. Now we see a rise in right hate groups since Trump has been elected. Anti Jewish and muslim attacks on mosques and synagogues. It comes from your side of the aisle mate. We have a few nuts like those loud mouthed Black Lives Matters idiots but the right racism is on the rise
