Bernie Sanders denounces the shootings...That's actually a good thing to say...:yes

But of course, that's when the shooter was one of his supporters...

Let's see what Bernie had to say in 2011 when Gabby Giffords was shot...in the form of a fundraising letter...:yes :mad

Sanders Fundraised in 2011 by Falsely Blaming Sarah Palin for Tucson Shooting

Quote:

Former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders once fundraised by blaming conservatives and then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R.) for the 2011 attack on former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D., Ariz.).

"This horrendous act of violence is not some kind of strange aberration for this area where, it appears, threats and acts of violence are part of the political climate," Sanders wrote in a fundraising email in January 2011. "Nobody can honestly express surprise that such a tragedy finally occurred."

Giffords was critically wounded by a gunshot wound to the head during an assassination attempt. Twenty people were shot, and six of them were killed.

"Congresswoman Giffords publicly expressed concerns when Sarah Palin, on her website, placed her district in the cross-hairs of a rifle—and identified her by name below the image—as an encouragement to Palin supporters to eliminate her from Congress," the Vermont senator wrote.

Sanders was hardly alone in blaming Palin at the time; the New York Times, the Atlantic, the New York Daily News, and Gawker all pointed to the map with the crosshairs.

There was never any actual evidence presented that Jared Loughner, a diagnosed schizophrenic who pleaded guilty to the shooting, was a Palin fan, a Tea Party supporter, or that he had ever seen Palin's "crosshairs" map. One friend tweeted that "he was left wing, quite liberal."

Sanders today finds himself trading places with Palin after a gunman on Wednesday shot five people at a Republican congressional baseball practice, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (La.). Police identified the shooter as James T. Hodgkinson, whose social media postings indicated that he had a deep loathing of Republicans and an infatuation with Sanders.

Sanders responded by condemning the attack and distancing himself from Hodgkinson.

I see that violence started when it looked like obama had a chance to become president.
it was driven by propagandists to make conservatives feel democrats hated them. and that propaganda is one reason I switched from mccain to obama.
trump and palin both incited violence. they incited brawls
a congressman knocked a reporter to the ground breaking his glasses and got off scot free.
if republicans think democrats are corrupt pansies who hate them, there's gonna be chaos. im sure this event will be used by dnc and rnc

And according to some, Trump and the right are ruining the entire world. We are even being compared to Hitler. Maybe the MSM can come out and admit that they have been exaggerating the effect of the right.

Inconsequential when compared to the vitriol and hate promoted by Democrats and the Soros crew within the MSM's.. It hardly made any news at all in comparison. :wave

The Hate the MSM's are promoting is historical in it's nature. Never before has such intense hate and negativity ever been focused on a sitting President. This action by the MSM has no historical equavilant. It is bat sh1t crazy to think otherwise. Yes the Democrats and the MSM's are that bad.

With all this hate directed every day at Trump I guarantee some one will take a shot at taking Donald Trumps life. :wave Keep preaching hate to the unhinged and see how long it takes for a left wing loony to take a shot at Trump. BTW how many Republicans tried to kill Obama? None you say? :rolls

I have to laugh at Kirk. Has he read his own posts about Democrats? And WTF does Soros have to do with this. Fuking infowars bullshlt:mad

Remember Michael Sanford, the love sick Brit who tried to take a cop's gun. He claimed he kept hearing voices in his head to "kill Trump". He got a year in jail and was recently sent back to his mum. Hinkley has also been released to the care of his mom. Squeaky Fromme is still in jail and lucky for Ford that there was nothing in the chamber.

Just today, I learned that Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said that he did not really want to blame yesterday's shooting on President Trump--and then proceeded to do precisely that. (There was that weasel word in his statement--"but"--which, as someone else has noted, means approximately, "Please disregard everything that I've said up to this point; here comes the real scoop.")

I will say that it seems a bit odd that Sen. Brown would show revulsion as the "angry rhetoric" of President Trump--which he believes undergirds the Alexandria shooting--when he, himself, described Republicans as mere "lunatics," about a year-and-a-half ago: Sherrod Brown calls Republicans ‘lunatics’; pushes for anti-terror measures - The Lima News
