I heard about the new Taiwan earthquake and was searching for some info, and realised there had been another one in Chile. Then I came across the Humanitarian Early warning website and got a shock.
There has been a lot of activity the past 7 days all over the world. From Alaska to Chile to across the ocean. My picture posting capabilities are poor . I miss my Vista (never thought I'd say that ) but you can still see the maps.

It's just business as usual I gather, except that the quakes have been occurring in highly populated areas, and in the case of Haiti, in an area of very high poverty and very low building standards.

It seems that earthquakes are increasing in frequency.

I blame the Republican Presidents - earthquakes have been increasing since 1977 and Republicans have held the Presidency for 20 years since then and the Dems only 9.

But according to Salty, the worst of them happened during a time when the Dems. controlled both Congress and the WH. I think that it's Pres. Obama's incompetent operation of the earthquake machine that's causing all of this. At least Pres. Bush had the military training in the proper operation of the earthquake machine and was able to use it to only wipe out little brown people far, far away from us.
