NASA Study Acknowledges Solar Cycle, Not Man, Responsible for Past Warming

Quote:
Some researchers believe that the solar cycle influences global climate changes. They attribute recent warming trends to cyclic variation. Skeptics, though, argue that there's little hard evidence of a solar hand in recent climate changes.

Now, a new research report from a surprising source may help to lay this skepticism to rest. A study from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland looking at climate data over the past century has concluded that solar variation has made a significant impact on the Earth's climate. The report concludes that evidence for climate changes based on solar radiation can be traced back as far as the Industrial Revolution.

Gee you think maybe losing the ozone might have had something to do with that?

I saw a science report a while back that said there is a ozone opening above the S. Atlantic due to the fact the earths magnetic forces are changing directions.

So do we have two holes in the ozone or one moving? The report didn't answer that question....:-(

Good for you! It rained here. We really needed it too.

I know one family that doen't care as the power ball winner was from N. Daktoa. iF I recall correctly. But that must suck to have winter back already!
Of the 232 million they took home 88 million cash.

We had thunder storms and some rain last night. Much better than snow..

That there has always been a "solar cycle" has been "settled science" for over a thousand years. It's just that some chose to "ignore" it in order to make a HOAX easier to portend.

I don't think it is an actual "ozone" hole created by the earth's changing magnetism, it is a hole in our magnetic field (more accurately a spot where the magnetic field is zero), that allows solar winds to reach earth, which would have the same effect as the hole in our ozone, higher solar radiation, sunburns, skin cancers, damage to retinas, genetic mutations, etc.

I wouldn't be too worried about the current hole in the magnetic field, no evidence that it isn't temporary - and it is in some remote area on the ocean - it is if the weakening magnetic field continues to grow large enough that our atmosphere could be lost - then earth ends up like Mars. But the earth has weathered a number of polar shifts throughout history, so no reason to think that it won't weather this one... although Mars did have an atmosphere once, and now it doesn't... 2012?
