Default Invasive species may spread with help from climate change

seems about everything is being effected some how by C.C.

I'm putting the link to several different species being effected now. Of course others could search for more species and C.C. effects.

I know that 'carp' are now entering the Great lakes..

Mention the Great Lakes, and Asian carp will most likely enter the conversation. “Asian carp” is a general term used for four species of carp—bighead, silver, black, and grass—that originated in Asia and were imported to the southern United States in the 1970s to support aquaculture.

We might discuss what the results might be as these different species adapt or not..

I don't know but man has transferred species to attack other species (the kudzu or whatever you call it all over Georgia is a prime example). and climate change would yes exacerbate the spread.

Wait until the piranha adapts to cold ocean water.

Well it's a good thing that climate change is a rather new phenomenon and that species either spreading to new areas of the planet or dying off has not happened until now. Although I almost got eaten by a dinosaur the other day while chasing down a Dodo bird.

Just as animals and homo sapiens adjusted and migrated, plant species do to also. That doesn't mean the world is going to end as we know it, it just means that they will be able to grow exotic fruits in NYC at some point. Most likely when your 4th great grandchildren are roaming the earth.

I still haven't found someone to explain why they think climate change is a disaster coming.... this planet has undergone temperature changes since it was created. It will do so until it starts the cooling/heating cycle all over again.....

That's impossible, unless you live in Mauritius.

I never claimed any end of the world scenario from kudzu. A distinct apartness from knee-jerk paranoia is probably why I didn't make it in the Republican party.

However sudden introductions of foreign life forms by man, whether to kill a pesky species or just picked up on his tennis shoes in Bangladesh then transferred to the Utah desert, do sometimes present problems

I don't need to read some left wing propaganda to be able to apply a little common sense to practical matters. It's what thinking people do.
