But it is in the best interest of companies like Monsanto, not the government, to be working on it.
yeah we need for them to stop putting poison within the seeds
but they won't cause they have more money than God and own key senators.

Excuse my DILLIGAF, but why are you defending against what I said about Monsanto, unless you bought stock in it? I could be wrong, though.

To make it feel better, I grow my own food, and supplement some of it with processed crap from grocery stores.

Well salty I did my little part and now I shall drift off as this thread gets hot..

I am hoping that this bee dying thing can be turned around in time so we don't lose all of our much needed main stay crops.

One of the stupidest things I heard a company do in a very long time.

Logic is not substitutable for idiocy in that company...

They've made it public why they did it.

So now, every time you look at the box (in the store or at home) you'll notice the bee is missing. And hopefully, you'll think about why.

And maybe, just maybe, when you get home, you'll think twice about using synthetic fertilizers on your plants, indiscriminate weed killers to get rid of plants you don't want, and synthetic chemicals to green up your lawn.

My 2.5 cents.....

Because I don't believe Monsanto should "burn in Hell.

May Monsanto burn in Hell for all eternity either way.
A rather specious remark.

Companies, like Monsanto and Bayer, produce products which have vastly improved the quantity and quality of our food. And yes, in the process have crated some damaging products as well. But by your standard GM and the auto industry should also burn in Hell.

I have no stock in Monsanto. Although it is a St Louis MO based company, my preference of insecticides is Bayer products. They have a better reputation for environmental concerns. Perhaps that Corporate mission will improve the operations and reputation of Monsanto when the two companies merge.

That said, I am against the merger.

I was also against Monsanto's legal efforts to extend it's genetic patents to farmers replanting their genetically altered soybeans.

There are many reasons being attributed to the decline of the European Bee. Pesticides are only one of them and at the moment not factually known to be the biggest threat. At best, it is the misuse of their products which causes the most damage with their products. Blaming one company, simply because it is large, is akin to blaming your druggist for getting you hooked on OxyContin.

I know that. Did I forget to mention that I grow my own food? On my farm land? No. I'm not a farmer either. Monsanto and Bayer can burn in Hell. Remember when Bayer introduced heroin as a medicine to fight cocaine addiction, colds, et cetera?

Again with the Specious remark. Bayer did not invent Heroin.
If you present such statements as fact,,,; it is sometimes impossible to take you seriously.

I too own a small farm (80 acres. And have an organic garden at my factory for the employees.
How does that make me or you and expert on bees?

Now If you wish to read a comprehensive review of the World Wide Bee decline,,,; here is National Geographic's view.
The Plight of the Honeybee

Mysterious bee hive collapse is historically repeated throughout man's centuries old relationship with bee cultivation. Long before Monsanto or Bayer existed.
Sorry, I could not find a Readers digest version with big print for you.

I never said Bayer "invented" heroin. And I am not an expert on bees. I said in so many words that I see no shortage of honey bees on my land.

Monsanto and Bayer need to go bankrupt without any bailout from taxpayers.

And with your Reader's Digest jab, I guess I'd better start learning to read Engrish more better.

Well okay then

I doubt THE Donald would be in favor of a taxpayer bailout for Monsanto. Bayer is foreign owned. So can we agree there. No worries.
