Yellowstone Volcano Eruption In 2014 Feared

Yellowstone Volcano Eruption In 2014 Feared As Roads Melt And Earthquakes Tremble, Will The Supervolcano Blow?

A Yellowstone volcano eruption in 2014 is feared by some who point to how roads are melting and earthquakes are increasing in number and magnitude. But should we fear a Yellowstone supervolcano forming in the famous national park?

In a related report by The Inquisitr, believers in a Yellowstone conspiracy theory claim that the United States Geological Survey (USGS) is hiding earthquake data that points to fissures opening up all around the national park. Proponents even claimed that bisons were fleeing from the earth tremors and more recent reports say the National Guard is preparing for an “event” at Yellowstone National Park. But it’s claimed by conspiracy theorists are attempting to cover up such information because of the mass panic that would be generated if a Yellowstone volcano eruption were to happen in 2014.

Recent news may seem to justify some of these fears. For example, a 3.3 mile stretch of road called Firehole Lake Drive has become so hot that the road began to melt according to Yellowstone National Park officials:

“It basically turned the asphalt into soup. It turned the gravel road into oatmeal.”

A video was also released that showed how some areas in Yellowstone National Park had turned into “hell on Earth” according to the description:

I've also seen a few documentaries as well as read a number of articles about it over the last few years. When it does blow it will pretty much change the face of the planet geologically as well as effect most of the worlds societies. As for the USA and Canada both might pretty much stop existing as we know it today.

There is also a volcano just off the coast of western Africa that when it goes, again somewhat past due, will send a tidal wave of a few feet over the western cost of Africa within a few seconds. So that isn't such a big deal however a 300 meter tidal wave will hit the east cost of parts of Canada, all of the US and a large area of South America with in 2 days of it going. Now that will pretty much put most of the east coast of the USA under water to the Appalachian Mountain range.

A little bit of an, as seen on TV, exaggeration there Joec.

Yellowstone is a mega Caldera and it's eruption could effect life on the entire planet, yes. But only some of Canada and the USA will be damaged severely. Most likely from Idaho to Calgary to Chicago to Dallas Fort worth.

As for the Canary island volcano, it could very likely happen without an eruption, just a slide of the western face off the island into the sea. The wave ,at 300 feet , could disrupt life from much of the Florida peninsula to nova Scotia and inland to the Appalachia's. South America and central America (the Gulf of Mexico basin, will be seriously effected.

But with that one there will be some time for evacuations.

Yellowstone however will be cataclysmic and very sudden. 6 to 8 hours from Montana to St Louis with ash and hot gases. Millions of tons of debris. Mount St Helens by a factor of 100.

The good news may be that geologist know enough to give us some warning. I do hope they pay close attention.

All that said, the Yellowstone fear mongering story is old news. The bison were just running and the video has them running towards Yellowstone, not away. Some twenty years ago the lake shifted and rose about 3 feet on one end as the other end was rising. All that has actually quieted down. Old faithful has become somewhat unreliable but it still churns several times a day. I have it on my computer at work and watch it often along with some eagles in eastern Iowa.

"But should we fear a Yellowstone supervolcano forming in the famous national park?"

No, 'cause it's already a supervolcano.

Kind of like give me a choice and I would go with the tidal wave.... And for those that think this is old news your wrong. This is happening now and this news is from the past week.

So try again. Like we could get hit with many other items of destruction which could effect the entire planet and all of mankind. Yet this could isn't on notice as of yet.

Plus this isn't the first I saw about Yellowstone Park as it has been in the news for about 6 weeks now. And each bit of news is slightly different. I just decide to post this one.

But this news is. And might be all we get. But we all handle fear in our own way. I piss my SHOES..

Makes walking a bit soggy but the toes are warm for a bit.... :D

The yellowstone supervolcano eruption has been feared for some time. It's only a matter of time before it does happen.

Hopefully not this year!

Sorry Mlurp but the current seismic activity and ground movements at Yellowstone park are well within the norm. Nothing, I repeat, nothing unusuali s happening there. bison are not running from the park
Asphaltic pavement melts from time to time as the caldera is active. But nothing severe.

Here is a valid link you should keep and from which get updates.
