They are not really eco-friendly. You either have to burn coal or use nuclear to produce the electricity to charge them.

Kids can feed the homeless but little old frank cant do anything to change the environment cause its just too damned hard.
Franc is not really an environmental activist. He is a conservationist. Big difference. And based on the tons of omitted landfill and acres of remediated forest, there has been little time in his life for an armchair.

As for being a quitter, You are right about that. I am quitting this useless conversation.

Or hydro, or solar, or wind. And?

Hydro is out. Environmentalist will not allow more dams and actually have forced the removal of many.
Solar is ok but most folks want to charge their cars at night.
Wind is an excellent idea but technically an unreasonable solution. At best 15% of our current power needs can potentially be addressed with wind power

The wind turbines are elegant but deadly to raptor birds. And the remote power generation has to be wired for miles. Something to which the treehuggers have objections.

We have all 3 where we live in AZ.

I've been to the Hoover dam that generates hydro, I've seen some folks (just a few) with solar panels, but that makes the most sense since we get 300 sunny days a year.

I hate wind, because they are eagle chopping machines.

I live not all that far from Blue Creek Wind Farm here in Van Wert county and it's massive.
The next proposed project will be Dog Creek/Paulding County.

They are fascinating to look at though on a nice day going down the country road.

Hydro doesn't have to mean dams

That's what power storage is for.

Deadly to a few raptors, sure, but not nearly as deadly as buildings are. Plus, there are way to minimize the impact.

According to studies last year, nearly 1 billion birds are killed each year by flying into buildings. 175 million by power lines. 72 million by pesticides and nearly 7 million by communication towers. 1 million in oil and gas waste pits. Wind turbines kill about 500,000 thousand birds a year. As for eagles, wind turbines in 10 states have killed average of 6 a year.

So, not all that deadly, considering.
