I am happy for you. But at this point, if you do not get the point of the OP, then I am also sorry for your loss. Environmentalism is not confined to the subject of global warming. So to disagree with AGW alarmist does not put one at odds with environmentalism.

I was growing produce and flowers Organic back in the fifties, long before it was cool. I am currently restoring 80 acres to natural habitat that was ruined by it's previous owner. Being frugal with resources is integral to environmentalism and on my budget, that is a convenient marriage.

I grew up on a poor farm where nothing was wasted or thrown out.

My factory is virtually refuse free, and so is my residence. No garbage to throw in the street. In fact, I do not have a garbage pickup at the house.

However, did you know that a compost pile is illegal in many communities. Especially in elite ones. And further, some radical global warming advocates suggest such composting is contributing to AGW?

In truth, many who lead the charge for environmentalism are not so concerned about their "carbon footprint" as they scold us all for ruining the planet. Michelle fills Air Force one with her "staff" when she travels . And that bird puts tons of carbon in the air. Flying the family dog on a special flight wasn't done in a glider but a military transport. Atleast Jimmy Carter turned down the thermostat and put on a sweater.

There are examples everywhere of people being responsible about the environment. but you find few of them in the elite neighborhoods where troops of lawn care workers come in daily with fuel burning machines to manicure lawns upon which nobody plays. When done, they haul the cuttings off the local land fills.

Open you eyes and smell the fungus girl. It ain't where the rich reside but down where the hard working commoners care without being scolded into being responsible.

Environmentalist.....
if you are one, good. But please do not presume I am not.

I already said you were. What you need to do instead of rant here is get with the city dwellers and tell them a few things. Thats the only way we will ever fight this thing is through togetherness not fighting.

Then what do you suggest we do about discussing the obvious hypocrisy of those Faux environmentalist in the OP?

And no you didn't. you qualified it with the word "if" Sorry to be specific.

Hardly. She challenged (if) that I was. With what language are you familiar? I'm reading her words in English here:

You are an environmentalist if you dont throw garbage in the street. You dont. I know you dont. So that puts that to rest.
What I suppose we do is quit fighting and band together to save the planet and tell the world leaders FK you on putting a monetary stamp on this and to get the hell out of our way. Then we take steps to pass good laws that will help achieve this end. And we do our part personally . Make it completely un PC in our own little world to not recycle and to drive gas hogs except for a real need. Things like that. We can argue about the list of things but we could work together on it fer sure.

Someone who doesn't throw grbge in the street does not define themas environmental. just good manners.

But I understand your point.

Congress and our leaders will not pass good laws. They no longer respect our rights to hold them accountable. After years of reaching into our pockets and throwing our money at their causes, we are just sources of income. And every dollar they take, for any purpose, is that much less freedom we citizens have.

Sadly we are beyond that balance of power where the voter, the citizen, is respected.

It wasnt considered good manners before people realized the world is finite. We could do the same thing with other activities.
