Why is is a good idea to remove body parts that nature put there in the forst place?
I dunno. Think appendix.

I am really glad my parents had me circumcised as an infant. I think its a matter of culture, tradition, and possibly even religious influences and that this is a much more complex question than "will he/she be able to enjoy sex like everyone else".

I think there is a difference between the female mutilation that is being talked about in this story and male circumcision. Many men are happy they have been because they feel it is more sanitary. My boys are circumcised a decision that I left to my husband.

The appendix is only removed if something is wrong with it.

I would certainly agree that a foreskin or clitoris should be removed if there was something wrong, but as an everyday procedure?

I don't think it is a good idea.

Some seemingly unbiased information on the male aspect of our conversation..
Circumcision

I can't judge another culture...but here in Atlanta, a guy was just convicted for circumcising his daughter.

I agree with those that say an adult can modify their bodies at will. But cutting parts of the child's genitalia off? I don't think so.
