Homosexuals are never going to go back to living in closets. As citizens of this country, they have every right to the peaceful enjoyment of public life that heterosexuals do. They have every right to open expression and promotion of their varying agendae through the same channels that heterosexuals have.

If one does not want their children exposed to society and all its varying elements, then one should consider an isolated life. Society does not stop progressing because YOU have children. Society only has an obligation to integrate, with equality, all individuals. Does that mean there is going to be disagreement? Of course. Does that mean that YOUR moral disapproval is grounds for terminating open access to society for others? Absolutely not.

Homosexuality has become part of mainstream American life. Deal with it. Or go live with the Fundamental Mormons in BFE Texas somewhere and marry your daughters off to 50 year old men by the time they're twelve. Those are really the only options you have.

I hear Iran doesn't have any homosexuals. Perhaps you could raise your children there.

The Fed education system offers schools one of three packages to use too teach. And all three have this crap in the program. But I don't think it need be taught to any school children till the last three years of high school. Kids experiment
and I wouldn't want them to try anything that involved till they are much older and have already some experience with the different sexes.
I never felt I missed learning this.. But society pushes on!
But with our students so far behind many others in learning why bother to do X number of hours on this. Why not more of the needed science and math?

I am not saying those who are of this nature ar ewrong. But why try to make our society so far from what any parent wants for their children? Why?

I don't have an issue with my children learning about homosexuality. I promote tolerance in all aspects of life, and one of my very best friends is gay and I love and admire him. I guess my main issue with the lyrics in this song is that it promotes experimenting. If you take the time to read it, it is not a song about love or any positive message. It is just as bad as rap songs that denigrate women - I discourage my daughter from tuning into that kind of music as well.

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

There are much better and more positive ways to get the message across.

I should be clear; I understand your issues with this particular song. I was speaking more to the ones that were advocating the sheltering of children from education and experience not by their own watchfulness, but rather by implying that homosexuals had no right to pursue their agenda with the same zeal that any of the other classes of people pursue theirs.

I kissed a girl and she grabbed my crotch. So you have to be careful.

Be involved, that's the best you can do. That way you don't have to rely on hearsay to know what's going on at school.
Brilliant. Seriously.

Because parents are not always right.

If Big Jim is Suzies dad and hates black people, should the school teach her that black people are bad? Maybe they should not teach her about black people until she is a sophomore?

They are not teaching sex, they are teaching that there are different people, different family structures, different points of view out there...
