Default McDonald's CEO: Company will put full resources behind gay agenda

McDonals helps the Gay & Lesbian movement to build businesses. I got this in an e-mail so no links enless they come thru in the story.

McDonald's CEO: Company will put full resources behind gay agenda
McDonald's has signed on to a nationwide effort to promote "gay" and "lesbian" business ventures.
Dear melinda,
According to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, McDonald’s will aggressively promote the homosexual agenda. In remarks on McDonald's Web site concerning the company becoming a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Skinner wrote: "Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world … and we do."
The company gave an undisclosed amount of money to the NGLCC in return for being recognized as a major promoter of the homosexual agenda. In return, NGLCC placed Richard Ellis, vice president of communications of McDonald’s USA, on the NGLCC Board of Directors.
Ellis was quoted as saying: "I'm thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce team and ready to get to work. I share the NGLCC's passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community, and I look forward to playing a role in moving these important initiatives forward."
McDonald's refused to comment to World Net Daily on the placement of its executive on the board of the "gay" advocacy organization but did send an e-mail confirming the corporation's support for the agenda of the homosexual business lobby.
"McDonald's is indeed a Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally of NGLCC. Our vice president of U.S. communications, Richard Ellis, was recently elected to its board of directors," said Heidi M. Barker, senior director of media relations for McDonald’s. NGLCC describes itself as promoting the LGBT community first and always, including same sex marriage.
NGLCC gives credit to sponsors such as McDonald's for its financial and other support that helps in its work. "Through the commitment of our corporate partners, the NGLCC has been able to advance the ideas and causes of the LGBT business community," the Chamber said.

Take Action!
Very important! Call your local McDonald's and ask why McDonald's is using its size and resources to promote the homosexual agenda.

I must admit that I'm still shocked when groups are against gay rights. Gay rights are human rights and Christ was for that. These people are Christians, they are Dobbsons and Robertsons and Falwellsons and the like. They forget what it means to be Christ-like.

First off, World Net Daily is more like World Nut Daily. Secondly the mere fact that the phrase "gay agenda" keeps popping up should send up a huge red flag.

This is alarmist bullsh*t, and the story is extremely slanted, and it wouldn't surprise me if there are outright lies in there too.

(team_barlo)

I get e-mail forwards all the time from a well meaning relative who occasionally forgets her political views are not always my own. She now erases all the people who forwarded it on to her cause one time I got an especially irritating one and sent back a cryptic message to everybody! I got a few hate emails for awhile.

Some organizations that you are interested in for other reasons, mlurp, may assume you follow their other views as well.
A church I really liked that had a lot to offer in certain areas, started promoting an agenda that just didn't sink with me and my family. So we left. I felt bad for awhile, because I had made a lot of friends there. But we found another church home that is more moderate in the areas we are touchy about.
But some people continue to subscribe to a news letter or remain a member of an organization that sees a few things differently. If it's not a big issue, then why cause a fuss? If it is a big issue, move on.

Saltwn, I just posted it. I am a Christian who believes in free choices each person has to make them. I just try hard to make the right ones now that I grown up. I don't judge anyone if I can help it as I want my cup to run over.

Besides I knew a few of each and we got along quite well never bring up the subject. The women were cool and I made a point to be around them if one of their male friends showed up. Males seem to be more open about it. And that makes me a bit uneasy. But respect others rights and yourself and I find no faults with ya... Life is good.

My wife was married to one and had his son before she found out and they separated and she allowed the boy to spend weekends with him. He was 4 when I found out and suggested that wasn't the best deal because he was a drug user also. Well now at 15 he swings both ways and does drugs his father supplies. And after Donna died her father talked me out of raising the boy and had his father back in the picture. The young man won't get out of high school and crime will be his way of earning money for the drugs.
Just like I told her when he was 4 years old. And after removing me the boy told me his father and grandfather didn't think I was good enough to raise a teen. But grandpa gets the S/S check from Donna each month and gives the family that is raising the boy $200.00, another reason why I left IN.
My brother in law sent the gay thing to me. He married Donna's younger sister and they all know what is going on! There are many different types of Christians believe me! Stating facts isn't judging.

I'm happy for all the support we can get, of course!

But why couldn't we get someone with reasonably healthy food on our side, like Subway? I don't think it is inaccurate to say that the gay community is marginally more concerned about health and fitness than the nation as a whole.

AFA's "tax exempt" status baffles me.
One of the group's main purpose for existing is to discriminate against gays.

Could you imagine the stink that would be raised if we gave a tax exempt status to a group who supported discrimination against blacks?
Or supported discrimination against Christians?

Regarding the story itself, google attempts to find out what is REALLY going on leads to a bunch of AFA ditto-heads, and then devolves into web-sites that don't relate to the issue at all.
I did find this link...
NGLCC - National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce - NGLCC Adds McDonald’s Corporation Officer to Board

I suspect that it's just a PR move that the AFA has blown out of proportion. There is NO evidence of the extreme of "put full resources behind gay agenda".
Nobody ever said anything like that.
All it is is McDonald's joining yet another Chamber of Commerce (there are even Christian chambers of commerce), and the AFA is pissy that anybody dared to have any association with gays so they freak out.

I undestand that they are more concerned than our self indulged society is. Good Luck in the quest.

Good post. I never realized the one e-mail would generate this much in the way of concrete replies. Thanks to each for joining in. Please continue.
