Default Systemic Racism in the USA

Joe Biden was in office for 50 years....
Chuck Schumer has been in office for 45 years....
Nancy Pelosi has been in office for 32 years....
Jerrold Nadler has been in office for 44 years.....
Maxine Waters has been in office for 43 years.....
Adam Schiff has been in office for 24 years.....
Barack Obama was in office for 20 years......

Note: Years in office include local, state and federal positions.

Every one of the above mentioned persons is a leading and powerful Democrat.
Every one of the above mentioned persons has claimed that systemic racism exists and needs to be addressed.
Combined, they have 258 years of experience being part of that system for a country that is 244 years old.
For 12 years all of the above mentioned persons held federal political office at the same time including 8 years as President and Vice President and for 2 of those years both houses of Congress were controlled by Democrats.

Why have these people not already fixed a problem they say exists? If it's systemic, that means it's been around for years and every one of them has 20 or more years being part of the system.
It makes me think that they are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

you're right, they are part of the problem.
So are the status-quo or make-it-worse Republicans that have had just as long tenures in office.

In general it's an issue that overall has gotten better in many ways over the past 50 years but worse in some specific ways that have made the system more of a trap for poorer people and minority poor in particular.

I guess it's the proverbial watershed moment. Not unlike what the majority felt upon hearing of the children burned to death in the Birmingham church bombing.

The only "systemic racism" that exists is the Affirmative Action program that lets blacks into colleges with lower scores than whites receive.
