The OP say more than half of fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrant families. Given that the heritage of most American families are immigrants, I'm surprised the number is that low. But my question still remains unanswered.

It is because the answer deflates the point of your OP? Or you simply don't want to know that answer?

BTW, one of those companies is the Trump Organization, started by the son of an immigrant.

Oh my look who is proposing racial quotas now as a cure for racism.

Trump's visa ban is for countries of origin which do not have a functioning government sufficient to allow screening of applicants. There is no evidence that if Sweden fell into that category Trump wouldn't have included them in the ban.
