Angry FCC Plans To Kill Net Neutrality Soon

Guy's a partner of TYT, sometimes has different or more researched views; explains this very clearly

Quote:
Yesterday afternoon the House subcommittee that provides Congressional oversight for the FCC held an important hearing about the agency’s current plans, including current Chairman (and former Verizon lawyer) Ajit Pai’s move to gut Title II net neutrality protections that prevent ISPs from controlling what we do online with throttling, censorship, and extra fees.
The FCC will soon vote to kill net neutrality. But Congress can stop them if they hear from constituents now.

Yep, be sure and write to Congress today to tell them you want Federal bureaucrats to censor your internet access. it is OK as long as it is called net neutrality.

I posted the simplest explanation I could find by a person with a non threatening voice.
If electricity wasn't regulated you couldn't afford it. Don't you know how anything works? Didn't your parents or grands ever talk about things like this?
Obviously you can't make the connection for some reason so I have to assume you just never encountered some information I grew up with.

Is that why guns are in a sky high price range? Because they aren't regulated?

Never mind. I can hear the whining already that it is a detour from the topic.

"If blah blah blah was not regulated, you could not afford it" applies only to necessary things? Good save, but no cigar. Competition is already allowed here.

yes mainly if you know every household will buy your product for every day of the year, you will steadily increase pricing at your own pace and amount. that's ok for most things but not if it interferes with the majority of a country's people being protected from the elements or becoming unnecessarily stunted.

You may be thinking that electricity prices are not a rip off, But that is a matter of relativity, and the realm of the scum dog, who charges people sky high prices because he is a scum dog pure and simple. Anyway, I don't believe I am getting anything of your view of net neutrality.

Regulation does not necessarily equate to lower prices, more innovation, or better service;

In the '20's telephone service was regulated nationwide. A long distance call Denver - St Paul, Ne was a luxury enjoyed by my family only on special days, and then only for 3 minutes. Beige phones cost more than black. When regulation happened, suddenly prices went down, and everything improved.

TV reception. A couple years ago there was one line in front of my house. Localities issued rights to a single server. Today I have 2 lines in my street + satellite alternatives. Today my bill is half the old rate and I get 200 channels.

Package delivery today is incredibly cheap. And delivery takes 2 days or less compared to USPS two weeks.

There's no reason to believe electricity would be more expensive if there were two companies.

I don't understand why these 5 people get to choose this for 320M Americans. Where are our representatives?
