Good for the EEOC. Discrimination comes in all forms. Many people do not think of pregnancy as a group who is discriminated against, but it happens far more often than one may think, especially in certain restaurant industries where establishments feature waitresses dressed in a sexy or erotic manner such as Hooters and such. However, this is not the only industry where women expecting are singled out. It can occur anywhere and a highly despicable act, if you ask me.

In many workplaces, it makes absolutely perfect sense for the employer not to want to have pregnant workers there. Not only could it be a hazard to the mother and fetus, it could be a HUGE liability to the company. I think imposing a policy of getting a doctor's approval is a fantastic compromise. All of the outdoor adventure companies did that. Up until 5 months along, anyway. After that, you were not allowed to work until after delivery.
In other places, the workers are hired expecting to present a certain look to the customer (see Hooters). If the women can no longer accomplish that, then they can't do their job. Makes perfect sense to let those women go. I mean really, pregnant strippers anyone? In other cases, it makes no ****ing sense for them to fire pregnant women. However, as always, I fully, 100% support employers firing whomever the **** they want for whatever reason they want. And I fully, 100% support the boycotting of companies who fire people due to race, gender, etc.

Satire.
Who was it that said humor is knowing the line of decency and deliberately crossing it?

With that situation, we would be on equal footing because I find your desire to eliminate the EEOC as disgusting.
![]() However, I was being satirical (as Comet recognized), noting that your cavalier and denigratory attitude towards discrimination against women could have unintended consequences. But of course, that also comes back to how Republicans have desires to control women in a variety of different ways...
